Our guide brought us at the Giggling Tree for lunch. We appreciated the lunch and the place. We had burgers which were tasty and the price was okay. The place is well managed by a Dutch and would like to come again to the guesthouse.

Certainly, the Giggling Tree is deserving of five stars! From the moment we first contacted the Giggling Tree, staff responded quickly and efficiently to any of our queries. The property itself is beautiful: renovated farmhouses surrounding a lovely courtyard - perfect for meals or a drink. The staff have also put together sets of picture books which will guide you...

The room was clean and pleasant, however some damp was evident in our clothes when we packed to leave. We had three nights, food was good with a lovely courtyard dinning area (luckily it stayed dry), very helpful hosts.

We loved the giggling tree. So friendly and welcoming, with lovely local and western food. Very family friendly indeed, and enjoyed laid-back vibe - e.g. Bar games and books to borrow, quiz night etc Yangshuo is beautiful, and Guilin, whilst busy and touristy is unique. We can't recommend enough.

It is a nice place to stay but not in March and mainly during raining time. Our room was leaking at 2h30 morning, not great experience after we had to put towels on floor to absorb the water and pray that it will stop. The food is just ok I will say, we order the chicken lemon and the oil...

We had a pleasant stay at giggling tree - bearing in mind that this is a very basic guesthouse in a rural part of china. The view from the outdoor seating area and surrounds is spectacular . The rooms are in a converted old farmhouse, they are spacious but have quite small windows. Bathrooms are simple but functional. But all...

Nice place outside of the city centre with a restaurant in the hotel. The room is spacious but a little dark but enjoyed every moment of the place. Lovely reception area where there is a fireplace for warmth which most of the guest spent their time in when everyone is in the hotel area. Hotel provide comprehensive picture bicycle tour...

Exactly what you need if you're looking for a family-like atmosphere house in the amazing Yangshuo county. Nothing fancy, just simple and comfy. Food is great and reasonably priced. Offers good quality bikes for rent. Helpful, English speaking friendly staff as well.

Four of us spent four nights at The Giggling Tree. We were collected from the airport by taxi which had been arranged by the hotel. Journey took about an hour. We arrived just before midnight which was too late to have a drink before bed but plenty of water was provided in the room. We had very good weather throughout...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the tiny village Aishanmen, close to the scenic Yulong river only 5 km west from tourist hotspot Yangshuo, we renovated traditional yellow brick farmer houses into a beautiful inn. The courtyard is breathtaking. Our atmospheric restaurant and terrace with scenic views give travelers the chance to breathe fresh air again. In April 2013 we have opened our outdoor swimmingpool. Why stay in the city, when the countryside is so amazing! ... more   less
