Stayed 3 nights in the deluxe room with magnificent views which is well worth the extra few dollars. The rooms were clean and very good size. Location was good, 5 klms out of Yangshou but close to river activities and other sights. Very quiet at night ensured a good sleep, Taxi into Yangshou was arranged by the staff and only cost RMB30. Staff very kind, helpful and friendly and were able to arrange any travel requirements. The town of Yangshou has a great feel and was very busy when we were there. We didn't regret staying 5 klms out as it had a very nice rural feel which is what this area is all about. The food in the upstairs restaurant was very good and a great place to enjoy a few drinks with stunning scenery while chatting with the staff. Overall a great experince

We stayed in 2 rooms. Both were rated the same but the quality of the room in 2nd level was not the same as the one in the 3rd level. The one in the 2nd floor had bad maintenance. The bed blankets were dirty, I should insist and survey the change of them.

First night was rather horrible. We couldn't find the driver at the airport, electricity got cut off in the middle of the night and opening the window only led the killer mosquitoes in, best part was that the lobby is not 24 hours! HOWEVER. Things actually worked out fine eventually. The view at the hotel and at our room was stunning! The mountains, the fields and the river :) The staff was amazing, very helpful and very sincere. They even offered us an additional room on the 2nd night just in case the electricity in our room got cut off again.. Which of cos thankfully didn't. The staff are extremely commendable because they would go all out just for you to have the best experience in Yangshuo. They recommended the different places to visit, where the good food is at. The

Dear Friend, Thanks a lot for having chosen to stay with us. I am really sorry for the bad part of your experience. I am very sure you won't meet that kind problem since we have trained our new receptionist well . Frankly speaking, I am very proud of our workteam all the time. They have been keeping doing a great job, and got the very high recommendation last year. But we were short of hands a few weeks ago, and we had to hire a new receptionist, we are so sorry we didn't train her well in time so that some of our guests got the bad experience. We are very willing to make up for you more next time ! Best wishes & regards, John & Hidden Dragon Villa Family

We were initially pretty impressed with the services of Hidden Dragon Villa as they responded to our email very fast. Eventually we asked them to arrange airport transfer Guilin-Yangshuo as well as transport Yangshuo - Ping Ann and from Dazhai - Yangshuo - Guilin Airport. We also asked them to book us a room with attached bathroom in Dazhai. Rate Y150 - pretty high for Dazhai region. We thought all was in order!! When we arrived at Guilin Airport, there were nobody to pick us up. We waited for close to an hr. Strange somehow we were not able to get connected to tel no of hotel on our confirmation - we tried with and without country code! We managed to find a taxi to bring us to Hidden Dragon Villa. On the way found out the rates quoted by the taxi driver for our onward route

Dear Friends, This is John, the owner from Hidden Dragon Villa. Thank you very much for your efforts for improving our hotel. I am sooo sorry for your experiences, please accept our sincere apologies here! I understand your bad feelings, please allow me to say something after checking into this matter. 1) As for the airport pick up services, we just got a new receptionist who was a trainee from the local school , and she was not very familiar with the business yet, still being trained. But we were short of people on those days, and we allowed her to try as requested, we are so sorry she forgot to remind the driver. 2)For the pick up price, there are 2 ways from Guilin airport to our hotel. The old one gets through the Guilin City, takes about 2 hours, longer but cheaper. The second one is the New Super Highway with very very beautiful scenery along the way, pass by some toll stations, directly leads to our hotel, takes about 1 hour, so it costs more .Usually speaking, our drivers choose the New One. One more thing, it's very hard to get a taxi at the airport just waiting guests outside. I think you were very lucky on that day, came across a driver who sent guest there and just was gonna go back to Yangshuo. Usually, the hotels in Yangshuo have to order a taxi from Yangshuo to Guilin to pick up guests. Therefore, the drivers will charge one more trip than the other driver from the airport to Yangshuo directly. 3) As for the aircondition, we did ask the company to send a man for repairing it. But we are so sorry the man coundn't make it on that day, so it's better to change a room. We do appologize for the inconvenience. We won't let it happen again. 4) As for the hotel in Pingan, to be honest, the new receptionist(still being trained now) was not very familiar with the hotels there before, and even she asked you to book it by yourself. I think she told you about that. The new receptionist inquiried from a travel agency and they quoted us RMB180/night. The receptionist just thought they would arrange the best room for you. We are so sorry for the different room rate. Now, we are doing our best to get known Ping'An well, and will guarantee the best services in the future. All of our Hidden Dragon Villa Family members are so sorry for all the things happened during your stay. We do owe you apologies. And we do appreciate your efforts for improving our hotel. We will do our best in the future. Also, we would love to make up for you if you could give us your address in Singapore. Thanks a lot ! Looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you again in the future. Best regards & wishes, Sincerely yours, John & Hidden Dragon Villa Family

It's exactly as the other reviews say, great, quiet location outside of Yangshuo. Our room was at the back of the property so the view was nothing special and it smelt of farm animals - however you are in the countryside. We loved that we could escape the hustle and bustle of Yangshuo as its a busy little place full of bars/restaurants. The only downside is having to bargain a taxi everytime you want to go in/out of town - although it never took long to find a taxi. The room we had was quite dark -not much natural light, and the beds were a little hard. Bathroom very dated and could do with modernising. The staff were very friendly and only to happy to help. Excellent base for exploring the sights in the area. We hired bikes and would highly recommend this. Overall I

Dear friend, Thanks a lot for choosing to stay with us and help us improve our hotel. As you known, our hotel is located at a beautiful & peaceful countryside with amazing views around. The aim is to lead guest to enjoy an authentic, traditional & easygoing countryside life. Our hotel is only 10 minutes by min-bus or taxi, we can order for you anytime if you need without handling charge. Of course, we were always trying our best to help our guest, including helping you to bargin with the driver even it's always no use because of the oil price etc. For the room, we choose the soft light because we wanted to make a warm atmosphere. If the guest wants a shining light, we can also change the light for you. Now, we are doing the renovation for the bathroom,so you can enjoy a new one you next time. We believe all of our family members are full of hospitality and willing to do their best to help our guests get a memorable experience. Maybe we didn't chat too much before, but in our hearts, you are our family members as well. We will do our best to do what we can to host you next time ! Thank you for your comments. Looking forward to seeing you next time ! John & Hidden Dragon Villa Family

The thing that won me over was the outstanding views from my room. What the website showed is what you get. We took a number of pictures sunrise and sunset just outside the hotel. It is also conveniently located if you want to do bike tours or hikes as its very close to sights such as Moon Hill, Banyan Tree, Water and Buddha caves, Butterfly caves etc... You can also do the bamboo rafting at Yulong river nearby. I didn't feel the need to go to Yangshuo town at all...which is noisy and like any other city. Here you get peace and quiet at night and we were lucky to see several fireflies near our hotel. Choose this place if you want to get away from the noise, gorgeous views and a good base for Yangshuo exploration. The staff is also generally very attentive, polite and helpful. No

A small hotel about 7 km from the center between mountains and rice fields. You need to take a taxi or mini bus all the time but the they are only available after 8.30 am except you order a Taxi at the reception. Taxi costs 30 rmb and bus around 3-7 rmb. The room is spacy, the bath awful. It is moisty and mold! Especially the shower curtin. Really terrible! The hotel staff speak english. There is no safety box in the room. We can recommend this small hotel, because it's far away from the crowded West Street, but they have some things to change to be a really good hotel...

We had been in large cities with smog, smokers and noice prior to arriving in Yangshuo. What an amazing place to end our journey. We road bikes through fields with buffalo and lush green crops and stunning limestone mountains. Everywhere we looked was picture perfect. Hidden Dragon Inn were always so obliging and always met our needs, no request was too hard for them. Their ginger tea on our arrival was delicious! Very friendly family-run accommodation. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely place this- out of town, it offers really good value. Nice and clean in general (though bathrooms could do with a bit more space and modernisation). The bar / restaurant is very nice - though not particularly great value. My main gripe was the staff overcharging. You want to rent a bike for a day? the price may be the equivalent of USD$5 or $8 depending on who you ask at the hotel. You want to go to the light show? it could be 50% more than in the town. Taking a taxi to and from town is about $5 each time which may add up. They have a driver on site and it seems odd that he charges the same as the guys in town (who make it their job to charge more to tourists). I dont mind paying for convenience but they really can take the mick here. The staff, other than this, are

We stayed at the Hidden Dragon Villa for a full week: we had two rooms (one facing the view and the other one facing the backyard) since we have two kids. We were very happy with the hotel. It is way out of town which could've been inconvenient on such a long stay but since we had booked a private tour with a driver for most of our stay, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the countryside whenever we didn't have any scheduled program. The view from the hotel was amazing: it was great just to sit and enjoy it. Top things the I will remember from this hotel: + amazing terrace and view + excellent, helpful and friendly staff + nice, comfortable rooms + delicious breakfasts (not enough coffee included though) + interesting structure of the hotel - the restaurant is relatively
