Cosy Garden is 1,5 km north from Yangshuo. If you arrive by boat just follow the river and turn left after the "tourist street" ends. It a really relaxing and quiet place without the hassle in the city. This special atmosphere is contributed by the common rooms where you have to prepare your breakfast by yourself and you also can... More

The Cosy Garden, Yangshuo: Pro's: helpfull friendly staff, make yourself breakfast (if you like it), easy bike rent, no hassle with transferring to sister hostel Trippers Carpe Diem, peacefull location just outdide Yangshuo. Cons: what happened to the garden? Overgroin, not mantained, floorboarded are lose, gardenfurniture not useable. The shower is very near to the toilet (tiny bathroom), molded bathroom... More

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. There were trip ideas and leaflets available to use and the location was a 15 minute walk to town. Food and drink in the hotel was pretty good - they had just brought out a new menu during our stay which had more food options both western and Chinese. For breakfast you... More

Staying here for one week, about $21.00 Ozzie dollars per night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast, cook yourself, which is actually kind of nice. Slow season right now, 20 March, 2016. For hot water, keep the sink hot water tap on until it becomes hot, could take a few minutes. Hire a bike got 20 yuan.... More

Pros: staff spoke great English, were extremely helpful, offered free bike rental, had good food/drinks and rooms were nice with good warm showers Cons: only one is that it is quite out of town, This is fine in the day as you can be in Yangshuo within five minutes on a bike but at night there are no lights at... First using their food and breakfast stuff saved money and they had great coffee. Farm fresh eggs tomatoes and fresh bread. Then the greatest bicycle adventure. Dragon bridge Ulong river for lunch and rafting. Bicycling through many small farms by rivers around the karsts. Also renting their motor scooter to see the tea plantation in the mountains was a great... More

When I came to Yangshuo I was with a tour and we were staying at a big expensive resort. I knew I wanted to stay longer and I knew this place suited me better. Great location, beautiful view out my window, clean room and at one tenth the price of that resort, which honestly, I didn't like. The people here... More

At first, I was a bit worried about the location. After all, I felt like it was the perfect location: after 3 weeks in China, being a bit out of town felt like a relief, but it's not that far from town actually, it's possible by walking or even better with a bike. The room size was good, the pillow... More

We stayed two nights here. The place is just that, cozy. The rooms were nice...no real beds...common theme in China. The grounds itself were dated, no running stream or waterfall as mentioned. Not even very well kept grounds although still nice. Staff super friendly and speak good english. A little far from town so really need a bike to get... More

Stayed here for a week and the staff were very friendly and helpful.(they speak english too.) Particularly the girls in the morning are friendly. Unfortunately the garden out back needs alot of work. Nobody uses it as it is overrun with weeds. Bikes are ok, just need to choose a good one. They are cheap anyway and after 4pm they're... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Cosy Garden, is everything you'd expect from its namesake, A warm welcome and a cosy getaway to relax from all the stresses and chaos of the big Chinese cities. Set in the beautiful Yangshuo countryside The Cosy Garden offers everything you need for a relaxing and active stay on your journey through Yangshuo. Our cosy hostel offers Single, Double & Twin rooms all with their own en suite bathrooms. There is a large open terrace out front with a pool table, a great guest kitchen & lounge area with soft sofas and dining tables, and lots of nice spots to relax and read a book or sit surfing the internet. And of course we have a great cosy garden out back which we have lovingly designed to offer a great place to relax and socialize, with plenty of seating areas, a small waterfall and stream running around the whole garden, lots of beautiful plants and even space for BBQ's and a nice campfire. The whole garden is designed to focus on the karst mountains around the village and offer views down onto the paddy fields where the locals still go about there daily business.. Our little village offers a great place to relax and plan your time in Yangshuo, our English speaking staff have been here a long time and know a great deal on what Yangshuo has to offer, from bike routes running along, around, across the beautiful Li and Yu-long rivers. Excellent local knowledge on the best places to go in town, be it eating, drinking, shopping. Or even letting you know about some of the great little walks around and beyond the village itself. We also have great contacts for getting tickets to all the popular Yangshuo past times, Tai chi, Kayaking, Rock climbing, bamboo rafting, caving, and we can also help you arrange tickets for the light show, the great Yangshuo cooking school, cormorant fishing and one of our real favorites the Longji Rice terraces! We are only 5 minutes from the Li-river and can point you in the right direction for some great swimming spots, including the ever popular Double headed sandy Beach! Yes we may be out of the main town, but so is almost everything you could really want to do here in Yangshuo. If you want a great base for your travels and the opportunity to relax in a truly unique and beautiful environment, get some great advice on the best way to really take advantage of this spectacular area over a beer or coffee, be looked after by a great team who genuinely care and fall asleep in a comfortable clean bed to the sounds of nature then we think we have everything you could need... ... more   less
