The price is understandable given that everything has to be portered in. Dinner (we had a la carte) was OK. Wine was reasonably priced. Total for two was 400. The bar was hit and miss. The spirits had definitely been cut! But the prices and service were good. Room was basic. Bed firm! Breakfast was shocking. We asked for coffee...

Having read all the poor reviews on tripadvisor, I have booked this accomodation with lowered expectations, yet, it is worse than I have imagined. The deluxe room is small, depilitated and musty. Room insulation is non existant and one could hear the noisy neighbors clearly from both sides of the room. Food at restaurant is mediocre but reasonably priced. Service...

We stayed one night in the dorm and we would never stay there again! It's completely overpriced! Actualy its a shame to charge for this service! Even a chinese hard-sleeper train has more comfortable beds!!! The room was dirty and tiny. There was no lookers or safe to put valuables in. And the staff at the front desk seemed not...

We stayed one night on huangshan at baiyun hotel. Booked one standard room and was given a room in building one. The room was small but clean and had a nice view. The bathroom was clean as well, there was a smell coming from the toilet but can be minimized by keeping the toilet covered. Location is close to guanmingding...

I've traveled all over the world in many different conditions and circumstances but two nights at this "hotel/hostel" was certainly my lowest point. We opted to stay in the dorm section of the hotel and it was just awful. First, you get NO room keys! So if the door is shut hopefully someone is inside to let you in, ridiculous!...

The worst hotel I ever stayed in China. Even the hotel's location is ideal for hiking to nearby famous peaks and best place for watching sunrise, it will be intolerable to stay there. Rom is run down and old. It's small and dilapidated! However, they will charge you an arm and a leg for a room there, just outright cut...

Per title, the hotel is one of oldest one on Huangshan hence it has a good location. You can easily hike to the high point within 10-15mins for sunrise. It is also situated pretty much the mid point of the entire mountain area. Room is unclean, wall paper thin, food is mediocre and the restaurant non-group dining area smells like...

We stayed in the cheapest room in April (not yet peak season) - booked for the equivalent of $105 on ctrip and found it comfortable and adequate. The cheaper rooms are in an older building a 5 minute walk from the lobby and is next to the workers' quarters, which could turn some people off. But the room was well-appointed...

We had a reservation for the BaYun Hotel and stayed the night there. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. It's the closest one to the Bright Summit and was actually the cheapest option (1080 Yuan in the double room, which is really a lot for China). For me it was a huge expense as I am a student with...

After spending one night at Xihai Hotel, we moved to Baiyun Hotel, a 4-star rated lodging at Tianhai area the following day. The first encounter at the front desk was cold-cold shoulder, cold response. The guy never looked you at the eyes, busy looking at his smart phone, and only one-word answer from his mouth. No usher to show us...
