We spent 3 nights at Hotel Cumbres in April when we visited the Atacama dessert. The area is fascinating and unlike anything else you will see. San Pedro is a charming outpost of Alto Planos activities, complete with shops, travel agencies, restaurants and hotels and hostels. The dirt roads and potential for very high temperature are compounded by the windy...

Staff excellent. When we were there the pool was being repaired and unusable. This was key factor in my choosing the hotel and I mentioned this to the manager. He graciously gave us a room price reduction. No argument. Hotel has shuttle service into town on very frequent basis. A full excursion department and excellent breakfasts. The place has some...

This hotel is truly beautiful. First, the rooms are very comfortable, and, yes, it's a bit of a hike to some of them, but the hike is through lovely natural surroundings. I loved that many of the plants are identified with labels and with some explanatory information. Second, the service in the restaurant and especially at the front desk is...

We stayed at hotel Cumbres for 3 nights and it is a mistake that we chose this hotel in San Pedro. I do not know how it received the TripAdvisor excellence award. I never give bad reviews to a hotel , but I am compelled to write this review We came to the hotel at 10 AM , and from...

We stayed there in mid March 2017. The hotel is among the best hotels within San Pedro, but charges a reasonable comparative rate. The service in all areas was excellent. The food at the restaurant was quite good and the room accommodations were spacious and had a very interesting native decoration. We had a minor issue where my wife lost...

A wonderful and quiet place, the open to sky shower outside to the room is superb! Very good and warm service. The bedroom was very spacious and nicely decorated. I felt that I was entering into a new and completely diffrent experience just once leaving the lobby and getting into the patio and the romos.

Cumbres was for us everything it needed to be: a jumping off point; a place of retreat; a tour of the surreal all around and above all a well run joint. Great and accommodating local staff. Language was never an issue. Stayed over a recent bad patch of weather. The excursion team managed to throw out their schedules and combine...

I would not recommend anyone stay in this hotel. Electrical issues. No hot water. Wifi not working. Rooms are run down and dirty. No one at this hotel understands what truly good service actually is. The restaurant is absolutely wretched. This would not qualify for a 3-star property in the U.S. If the airport wasn't over an hour away I...

This property is absolutely wonderful. The rooms are huge and very clean with out of this world bathrooms including an indoor/outdoor shower. Every room features a huge patio overlooking the desert landscape. Gorgeous and very quiet! The hotel features a full service spa and 5 pools with different temperatures. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time to try it. Breakfast was...

We stayed two nights at the end of a long trip around South America. It was the most over priced hotel we have ever stayed at. This the first time I've had to place a negative review and I have traveled a lot. We paid US $420 a night. A couple points but mainly negative. 1) There is wifi in...
