The lobby and other facilities are in much better shape than the rooms. E.g. the carpet was worn out and overall the room was outdated. The change of floor material to wood etc. would be a great improvement. However, my room was quite big and the bed was comfortable. I also liked the breakfast, because there were plenty to choose...

First; it is my 2nd or 3rd visit at Melia Paulista and it is the 2nd time that there is a major protest right in front, that blocks the street and make me feel unsecure about my safety. Maybe a hotel in a smaller street around this location would be better? Second; On this stay the internet was not working...

We were very pleased with the hotel and the service. It is right on the main avenue, Avenue Paulista. The hotel has a modern decor and has all the amenities. The rooms are spacious and clean. Although not here for business, I noticed nice conference rooms and facilities for weddings. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. A nice...

Overall this place is good, it's centrally located next to the subway and plenty of good restaurants. I thought the lobby was very well appointed and they had a decent gym (by south american hotel gym standards). When you get to the room though, it's a bit of a disconnect from the lobby. The bathrooms are a bit rundown and...

The hotel is clean and nice. It has a nice bar and dinning room. Rooms are OK. The location is right at a metro station so it is very easy to access public transportation. Sunday they close the Paulista Av and everyone are waking around and there are stands and a lot of fun on the street. They have all...

The staff are lovely, especially in the resteraunt. The rooms are large, bed comfortable, shower is also a good size. The meals were very cheap and delicious. The breakfast is great with many choices. The hotel is in the heart of the paulista which means very busy outside. Sunday the street is closed to cars and everyone walks and rides...

We were quite impressed with our two nights in a "supreme room" at the end of a holiday trip. The room was essentially a suite with large bedroom, separate lounge area with couch, sink, cupboards etc, a small dressing area, and a bathroom. While 5 star hotels in Brazil aren't generally of the same standard as European hotels, the room...

There seem to be no options for upgrading to a nicer room. The carpet in the first room I was assigned was old and unclean. I insisted on another room, but I had to wait half an hour for that. The new room was OK, but not at all inspiring. Better than a student dorm room, but only marginally.

Staying in Jardins

Neighbourhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
