The rooms are a little dated in this hotel - it has clearly not been redecorated for a number of years, but it does have many good factors in it's favour. The location is great - close to Paulista, close to the city centre, you can walk anywhere and the Metro is a few blocks away if you want to...

The hotel is near Av. Paulista and metro, 10 minuts on foot, moreover is on the airport service bus route to the international airport (35 Rxperson). The rooms are a little worn but big, with bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. The breakfast was good, really good natural juicy (pinneaple, the best) pastries, fruits and other options. Not great choices...

Rooms in this hotel are a bit out-dated but large - our room consisted of a bed room, sitting room, bathroom and kitchen. In January 2012 they were building next door to the hotel so be prepared for some construction noises from early in the morning till late in the evening. Only some of the staff spoke English. Wifi wasn't...

Nice building from outside, less so when you are in. I stayed at the 10th floor and had nice view though there is not much to see around. Good suite with three rooms, a lot of space, but very basic bathroom and kitchen which both badly need renovation. Very kind at the reception. Internet is charged and is in the...

I stayed at this hotel on April 1st and 2nd of 2011. This hotel is older but the rooms themselves are pretty roomy. I speak very little Porto but the staff worked with me and they were helpful. Like stated from previous reports, the only negative is the location. It is about 6 blocks to the metro, which I used...

This is a suite hotel, with four rooms: kitchen, living room, bathroom (shower only, like most hotels in SP) and bedroom. I think my room (63) had just been renovated - it was spotlessly clean, no paint scuffmarks anywhere. Furniture is a bit old-fashioned but in very good condition. Internet is wired-only in the living room, and charged at R$8...

The hotel is in great location and despite being two girls we never felt unsafe - the street is so lively that you just won't. The rooms are huge and the view very nice if your room is high up. Good breakfast and a cute little pool on the rooftop. The staff was extremely helpful!

The Augusta Park is a little dated and on the edge of the decent area of Sao Paulo, but is a great, clean and safe option. The rooms are very large for the money, the kitchen is good enough to prepare and cook fresh food (supermarket over the road) and the whole place is immaculate. The breakfast is very good...

Staying in Consolacao

Neighbourhood Profile
Consolacao
Consolação lies between the old historical centre of the city and busy Paulista Avenue. It’s surrounded by the fancy Higienópolis neighbourhood, which makes it a very diverse place. The nightlife along Augusta Street offers visitors a variety of options to dine, dance and be entertained. Roosevelt Square, Consolação's main meeting point, is surrounded by fringe theaters and has become a popular skateboarding area. Right across the street from the square is the elevated highway known as “Minhocão.” Though it is busy with car traffic all week, it shuts down every weekend and becomes a leisure spot right in the middle of the city.
