This is the closest hotel to Dauphin Island that is not on the island. This is not a hotel trying to impress you, and it doesn't advertise itself as such. It is a safe, clean place to stay for the night. The staff was super nice and very helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean (there was some staining on...

My husband had to stay here last night and said the linens were DIRTY! He found all kinds of HAIR in the sheets and the place smelled like cigarettes a dog kennel. He said NEVER AGAIN! He said the more unfortunate thing is that there doesn't seem to be any better choices in this particular area. He paid $76 for...

When we booked in the reception staff couldn't find the booking and didn't know what rate to charge us. The room was OK but in need of some updating. The breakfast consisted of coffee with a couple of pastries, by far the worst breakfast I have had at any hotel. Don't know why they bothered. Only good comment about the...

This is the worst place we have ever stayed. We stayed here a few years ago before Hurricane Katrina wiped out the place. We decided to give it another try thinking maybe they had renovated it. Oh boy were we wrong. It was even worse than before. The mold smell was awful. The sheets and towels were thin and stained....

For a weekend visit to Dauphin Island that was booked to max this was closest we could find in decent driving distance. For $69 we had a place to sleep. Very loud neighbors who woke us up at the crack of dawn talking loudly. Floor appeared dirty upon entering. Bed was no better than a card board box. Newly built...

We were visiting the winter lights at Bellingrath gardens and wanted somewhere near to stay so picked this hotel as the nearest. We wished we had not and it would have been better with hindsight to have driven a bit further to somewhere better. This hotel has obviously seen much better days and although the staff were very helpful it...

This is about 20-25 min from Dauphin Island and we needed an alternative to the super expensive beach options. This was fine. It's nothing fancy but it's a super small town. Hotel staff was really nice. Rooms were bigger than I expected. They weren't spotless but it was clean and safe and I was there with young kids. I would...

Yikes! Make sure that all your vaccinations are current before checking in. Shower curtain falling out of wall and faucet hanging from the sink. Non smoking room reeked of smoke and "bubba-sweat" and I found myself sticking to the sheets when sitting on the bed. I complained to the owner who became very defensive and told me to turn on...

You could tell the motel had been nice at one time but nothing had been repaired in a long time. We had booked a Jacuzzi room and when we got there were told the Jacuzzi rooms hadn't worked in ages. Though they had failed to mention that the week before when we checked our reservations. In general the hotel is...

We got two rooms. One smelled like sewage. The air conditioner started to leak water all over our kids room. The hanging rack fell off the wall. The flat screen kept turning itself of whenever we tried to change channel. We notified owner and they never fixed anything. Bathrooms are filthy. I asked housekeeping for a broom to clean bathroom...
