We fully enjoyed our stay at this totally renovated hillside B&B in historic Santa Maria. In this secluded area that is minutes by taxi to all the main attractions in Rio you get use of a large modern common area, a secluded pool on the top level and great views. The place is totally renovated; there is nothing old other...

There is very little I can add to the numerous glowing reports about this guest house. The rooms are as good as they say, the breakfasts as delicious, the location as special and the hosts as friendly. I spent a very enjoyable 5 nights here and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. In fact I am hoping to...

Um Meia Tres is a beautiful bed and breakfast towards the top of Rio's famed bohemian enclave of Santa Teresa. Sue and Bill, its owners, are staggeringly friendly, kind, funny, and gracious hosts. I decided to stay there based on the Trip Advisor ratings and am so glad that I did. I have only positive things to say about them,...

Stayed here for 2 nights and picked this place based on its great reviews on Tripadvisor. This B&B exceeded my expectations! And I can just confirm what it is written in all the reviews. Bill and Susan's bed and breakfast is a bit of trip high up in Santa Teresa, but worth the trip to the top. Staying in Santa Teresa

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Teresa
Santa Teresa is a bohemian enclave hosting many local artists’ studios. The narrow, winding streets of this neighbourhood were revitalised years ago, and visitors can now stroll through this area to view magnificent mansions dating back to the late 19th and early 20th century. A highlight not miss: Museu Chacará do Céu, a former mansion turned museum which houses works by prominent Brazilian modern artists.
