Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely staff at reception, patient, spoke English. I had left my phone charging cable at home & they lent me one. They gave me great directions to catch subway. Room clean (and I have high standards) The bed had a great choice of pillows, so you could choose softer or firmer to eg sit up in bed to watch tv. Loved the complimentary snacks & water, the water (glass bottles) do not get replaced though, there is a charge if you ask for more; however the hotel have these drinking water stands, so if you want to get a glass of water to drink, it is easy to do so. Breakfast included with my room booking; wonderful choice and staff wanting to please. I enjoyed lovely slices of fresh fruit; papaya, melon, mango to name. Had choices of yogurt & found unsweetened type I like. Croissant was ok, but this is not France. Hot eggs and all sorts of other thing’s available too. Coffee was ok, perhaps not hot enough for my liking or perhaps I like to add too much milk! There is no kettle / jug in room to boil tea; I would have liked that. Bonus as a guest: attend Happy Hour: prosciutto or soft drinks and an array of savoury goody things, fruit, walnuts, salad, cheese etc. it’s not top cuisine but you can find things there you like, I enjoyed the cooked mini potatoes. Pool: it is padlocked after 5pm, a bit annoying if you want to quietly do a few laps. Sauna - like a steam sauna; I enjoyed this, is not always on but the hotel accommodated me & put it on. Overall I loved my stay and would definitely go back again.

Been coming to Promenade Palladium since 2007, this being my 7th stay here. Floors 1-4 went through a recent renovation/upgrade with new flooring, more open space and a much larger smart television vs the past. I have attached pics from my Junior Suite--Room 402A. Promenade Palladium remains more of an apart hotel than a full service tourist hotel with great value and a great location. Recommend a room on the General Artigas street side of the building.

Fine hotel. Fabulous location. Internet speed <1mb/s and therefore unusable for work, zoom, downloading files, streaming, etc. If you need to do any sort of work during your time here, you can not stay at this hotel. Should be an easy problem to fix, however, I’ve stayed here multiple times and know other guests have brought up the same issue to no avail. An unfortunate pass due to a fixable problem.

Born and raised in Rio, I went to visit friends and family and introduce my fiancée to my city. I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times. I have to say that there is NO better location for you to stay , close to bars and excellent restaurants. Leblon is a safe are compared to the rest of the city . Two blocks from the beach , you cant beat it. the staff at this hotel is phenomenal . They are extremely helpful and friendly . I couldn't ask for more The hotel is affordable , clean and offers a excellent breakfast . i highly recommend the place and I will be back for sure.

I really liked this hotel. Staff was not great, average. My room was big, modern and clean! It is located in Leblon, the best part of RDJ to stay. Don't go to Copacabana or Ipanema if you can avoid it. Close to all restaurants and shops, also close to the beach (walking distance 3 min).

Just stayed at Promenade Palladium for the 5th time, dating back to 2007. This remains my hotel of choice whenever visiting Rio. First, let me tell you what the Palladium is not—it is not a beachfront Hotel, nor is it a full service tourist hotel (no gift shop, no full fledged bar or fancy restaurant). However, it feels more like a home—as if you are staying in a fairly modern Airbnb condo rental in the heart of Leblon, especially if you stay in one of their suites. The location is hard to beat—only 2-3 blocks from the ocean on a beautiful tree lined street (Av. General Artigas) and only one block from restaurants and shops on Av Ataulfo de Paiva or only 3 blocks from popular Rua Dias Ferreira (“Restaurant Row). Leblon is one of the most upscale and safest neighborhoods in all of Rio. The rooms remain fairly modern by Rio standards with AC and cable television (including some English speaking channels). A great and healthy breakfast with fresh fruit, cereal, fresh cooked eggs, exotic fruit juices and more is included in your rate. They have a small gym that should be updated and a small pool that is often not utilized. The front desk staff duals as concierge and they were all extremely helpful. Not all, but enough, speak English and they were most accommodating when I had a minor issue with my assigned room. Special call out to Tamires and Lucas on this visit for their help. I definitely look forward to staying here again during my next return visit to Rio.

The most important thing is... just 2 blocks from the beach! Arriving at the hotel I was greeted in English by the receptionist who got me to my room effortlessly and reminded me that my room was pre-paid. He told me he was not confident with his English, which I found funny, because it was very, very good. Our room was a second floor double bed with a balcony overlooking the street. It was adequate if unspectacular. For the money we paid, it included everything we needed. The WiFi was always strong. Countless restaurants were within walking distance, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. Ubers were abundant in the area, meaning that sites too distant to walk to were easily accessible. The breakfast was typical for a Brazilian restaurant. They did rotate the juices from day to day, and the variety of Brazilian fruit was nice. Most of the rest of the buffet stayed the same throughout the stay. The many cakes were a nice touch. I used the fitness center, which consisted of a weightlifting machine and several cardio machines. It wasn't spectacular, but it was poolside and uncrowded, so I was able to get what I needed without a lot of hassle and with no waiting. The staff was helpful with advice on area locations and with securing a taxi to Santo Dumont upon checkout. All of them spoke English as well as the receptionist had. I'd recommend this hotel for a quick few days in Rio de Janeiro.

Leblon is Rio's fanciest and safest area, and in the middle of it sits Promenade Palladium. This is a report on my third one-week visit over five years. There is good news and bad news. This modern hotel offers just about everything for a busy traveler. The beds are great, the rooms have balconies and are well kept. There is a great wifi, but the rooms lack a water heater and the front desk refuses to provide hot water. Breakfast is very good but not up to international standards. Still no cappuccino---the machine that was broken three years ago still is. No personalized egg service, or raw salmon, or kefir.

Best thing about this hotel is its location in safe Leblon.Turn left and you’re 2 blocks from the beach.Turn right and you’re 1 block from street with shops and lots of places to eat.Staff were helpful. There is a mall within walking distance and a metro station a few blocks away. Breakfast surprisingly v.nice.Rooms so so and cld do with being updated but you haven’t come to Rio to stay in your room. If you want to be in an upmarket, good safe area but at an economical price this hotel is worth a look.
