This is an amazing hotel. Very classic with a location so amazing. Restaurants were fantastic, breakfast so awakening. Went beach and were looked after so personally by the hotel staff. Had sunbeds, refreshing towels, cold water, towels, they even looked after our personal belongings while swimming in the water at the beach. Would stay there again!!!! You must stay here!!!

We loved it. The rooms are really spacious and really comfortable for a good night sleep. The location is great and the park in front is lovely to relax. The wifi is quite good. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The breakfast is good, even if some more options could make a huge difference. The restaurant is really good...

Close to the beach, with many self-service restaurants, shops and snack bars nearby. Breakfast was very good, with many options. Large room and bathroom. Good shower and firm, comfortable king size bed. Air conditioning very efficient and can be controlled by the guest in the room. Extremely hot outside (temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius), so the air conditioning was very...

We stayed here for a night prior to heading out on a cruise. We got there super early (10am) and they had the room ready and allowed us to check in early. The location was great - close to the beach, metro, shops and restaurants. The room was good - everything clean and everything you needed. The reception folks were...

The hotel is ideally located in a walking distance from Copacabana beach and all the sightseeings can be easily reached from the hotel within maximum 20-30 minutes by a taxi. The amasing thing about this hotel was its security. You have to fullfill a very detailed registration form before check-in and then they give you special cards to open your...

This hotel has a very good location, close to the beach and bus/subway station. Breakfast was really good, all the same each day, but a very good choice of dishes. Rooms are a bit dark, but convenient, there is TV, fridge, nice bed and AC.

This hotel is well situated, next to copacabana in a secure area. People at the reception are not super nice and the reception has the temperature of a frizzer. Nevertheless the room is big and clean, quite nice. According to the localisation of the hotel, and the overall quality, the price is super good. The breakfast is amazing. A good...

Great hotel :) Ideal for a base for spending a few nights in Rio. Really helpful and friendly staff were lovely and very welcoming to us jet-lagged Brits. Close to key sights and staff will call you a taxi to make life easier. Couple of blocks to the stunning Copacabana beach, and neighbouring district of Ipanema. Delicious breakfasts with lots...

Me and my husband visited Rio in May 2016. We spent 4 nights at Mar Palace hotel and 3 nights at Porto Bay International Hotel. And although Porto Bay hotel is 5* and had an amazing view of Copacabana, Mar palace was amazing for the price we paid. Its very centrally located, close to the beach, and their complimentary breakfast...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
