I visited Copacabana beach, Rio DeJaneiro during the carnival. The hotel is a little over priced. The location is primed about less than a minute walk to the beach. The hotel was good, Breakfast ok but the wireless connection below average.

This hotel is just a few feet away from Copacabana beach and this is a positive point but on the other hand, this hotel needs to change their bed mattresses as you sink in the middle while you lay on it. I was in a superior room and the concierge was very kind to ask me if I want to...

Our original booking through Booking.com had failed and on arrival we had to find an alternative for our 3 night stay. The Copacabana Rio hotel staff went out of their way to assist us at short notice offering us good rooms on an upper floor with a sea view at a very reasonable cost. Breakfasts were good/satisfactory for the b...

Excellent location for Copacabana beach and downtown Rio. Friendly and very helpful staff. Small rooftop pool and bar facility where the views are magnificent. A warning - if you or your travel agent books you an Economy room be aware it is a very small room (it is en suite) with NO window, therefore no view or natural ventilation, no...

Okay, it's a 3 star hotel, but the location and the view from the rooftop pool is simply amazing. We had booked a superior room with a balcony and it was big, with a minibar and the bed was comfortable. Very close to Copacabana, only a 3 minutes walk. It was not the biggest breakfast we have had, but plenty...

While the place could use a major overhaul in some areas and a lot to be desired. but the staff was pleasant, friendly, always helpful, and made you feel like you had a home while you are in Rio. The view from there roof top and pool area is excellent. For the price, the location and quality may be hard...

There are 8 rooms per floor. The ones ending 03, 04, 05, and 06 are tiny, airless and nasty. Don't take the chance of staying in these rooms. The others are bigger and better. The staff are nice and the location is good. But my time here was miserable.

I feel like I'm an expert in the Copa Rio hotel since I've spent 20 days here for the Olympics. I would recommend it. The location is very good, with a friendly little cafe/night spot around the corner (Follies) and a high-quality buffet place next door (Temperate), and the beach is only a block away. You can also walk to...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
