Very clean no frills hotel giving good value for money in an expensive area. Only one block away from beach in a safe area to walk even at night. Bed linen fine, bath towels on thin side. Breakfast buffet very good. Concierge and reception staff very helpful. Would recommend. Our stay was 6 days.

Main problem was I needed an adaptor for Australian appliances. Had not had accurate information from my travel agent before leaving home who pulled the same information you can find on google images. I was leaving for the Pantanal before the shops were open and showed the item I needed from my room to the concierge. He showed me the...

I was there in October 2010. It was the first hotel i stayed in Rio de Janeiro. I would recommend this hotel because it is ideally located near the beach and it is also quite comfortable and pleasant and at a reasonable price.

Nice older hotel, been updated a bit. Paid $100 in June 2016. One block to Ave. Atlantica, the main drag down Cocacabana Beach. Attentive staff, standard but very expansive breakfast. Flat screen TVs, mini frig, large bathroom and room had a small terrace. Stayed 4 nights, at each end of a business total.

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
