Thankyou Kaza Rio! I'm so glad I chose this hostel, when visiting alone so much depends on where you stay. The volunteers / staff took me under their wing and made my time in the city the best it could be. I got to see parts of the city I would never have done, and felt safe in their company....

Stayed during the olympics, we were in a 6 bed dorm room. As expected prices had jumped up considerably but the first two nights (before the games started) we paid regular price and it was well worth it!! A little hard to find, theres no sign outside, just the building number. But excellent security system, the staff are fabulous; full...

Not unpleasant budget hostel with friendly (Argentinian) staff (available till 22:00. Did not like the mosquitos in the room (hope not with Zika); many regulations as if the guest is under suspicion of wrong doing all the time; far away from the center unless you don't mind taking the metro all the time. If you arrive by bus, the hostel...

Choosing somewhere to stay in Rio was somewhat daunting - so many areas and places and reviews...and prices - and when we found this place on line we thought it too good to be true and were not sure if it would deliver in real life - but it did! We stayed 6 days when we arrived in Brazil and...

Everything was perfect during our stay at Kaza Rio. The staff is very friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The room and common area are very clean and tidy, and nicely decorated. The location is good, easily reached by public transportation, in an uprising neighborhood in the heart of Rio. I'll be there more times for sure, loved everything...
