Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Breakfast quite nice. Rooms were very clean and itis well located. Wi fi was spotty and a great sence of frustration. It seemd to be fixed by the time I left. Would recommend.

The location is really nice. 200m to Copacabana beach, supermarket on the way. Also close to the city airport. The breakfast was very good and the stuff was very friendly. Nice view from the (very) small swimming pool on the roof. Unfortunately it was not very clean, especially the window in the room was very dirty and made it impossible...

Excellent location only 3 blocks up from Copacabana beach. This means that you are close to everything in the Copacabana /Ipanema area. The breakfast was a wide selection and the hotel was air conditioned (thankfully) and the rooms very comfortable. Great place to stay.

Stayed on an upper floor on the north side away from traffic noise. Do NOT stay on the street side unless you are used to heavy traffic noises around the clock. No direct view of the beach but nice view of Copa from the roof. Short walking distance to Rio Sul Shopping (4-story upscale mall), restaurants, tourist center, beach, bus...

This place was not what I pictured when I think of a 4 star hotel. A very small pool, that was more the size of a jacuzzi, was a little disappointing. That being said, It had all that was needed. Nice cordial staff, all or the large majority of which spoke English very well, so there was never any communication...

I stayed here for 1 night in a standard room. The room was okay, the curtains are outdated and needed to be replaced and the view was terrible, it was of the fans from the hotel air conditioning. The bathroom was small but nice and the room itself was cleaned well. The lobby is nice but the rest of the...

Hotel rates itself 4 star (diamond) but is probably 2.5 to 3 in reality as is the breakfast which had slightly dubious looking hot food and no hot water for tea on most days we were there.Rooms are reasonable but somewhat tired. No hot water for showers on one morning.Staff very helpful and spoke reasonable English.Hotel is only 5 minutes...

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It was ideally located just 5 mins walk from Copacabana beach. It is close to Christ Redeemer and Sugarloaf and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. The buses were safe and cheap. The room was huge - the bed was huge! The breakfast was good - bread, cake, fruit and...

The location is not so bad, only 10 minutes walk to Copacabana beach. There was nothing special about this hotel. We stayed in a suite and still it was dirty and the toilet was broken. We had to complain about cleaning but nothing changed. Breakfast is not so good. Even though they have a variety of food, the buffet is...

I stayed in Best Western's Rio Copa for 2 nights. Overall it was alright (+good location,-noice coming from the big street) but when I left to the airport a senior member of the door staff tried to trick me with the taxi! He told me that it would cost 80 Reais and he would tell the driver not to take...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
