The location is great and the staff was very good. I was disappointed in the condition of the hotel. At one time I could see that it was a very nice property, but they have not keep things up well. Simple things like replacing the shower head would make a huge improvement. There was also sand and hair in the... More

Everest Hotel is located at the best point of Ipanema (150 meters of the beach). There're many restaurants and bars at walking distance. The neighbourhood is quite secure. There's a small swimming pool and few sun lougers at the rooftop. The rooms are complete but the whole hotel needs an urgent refurbishment. Beach service provides chairs, sunshades and towels.

The hotel is in a great location, just few minutes from Ipanema beach. Our breKfast was variable and delicious everyday and served in rooftop restaurant with amazing views to Rio. My room was quite nice and neat, but bathroom was a disaster..as if it hasn't been renovated for the last 20 years..aircon was very loud and the windows were so... More

Although the hotel wasn't that expensive with about 600 Rias for two nights, it didn't convince me to recommend it. The aircon was very noisy and the bathroom needs immediate action. Location is good and breakfast ok, when you like fresh fruits.

Overall, the hotel appears to remain the same as on my last visit: good rooms (the renovated ones) and great location at a reasonable price. A solid four star hotel by Rio's admittedly loose standards. Upkeep is an issue, as there is already some noticeable aging and wear. However, the biggest difference is in the service: stressed out, grim, visibly... More

The hotel is fine, and the breakfast and rooftop restaurant is particularly nice. The locations is excellent. Very concerning however is that someone swiped my credit card details and spent a lot. My bank stopped it, but repeated complaint emails to the hotel were not replied to.

In a nice neighborhood near the beach in Ipanema, this hotel is well located. The rooms are clean and functional, but this property could use a "sprucing-up". The views from the room-top restaurant at breakfast are excellent.

Stayed here for 5 nights. The staff were nice and the rooms clean. The rooftop pool was a great place to relax after the beach. Breakfast was ok with plenty of options. They offer umbrellas and towels for the beach. Close to many dining, shopping, and options to fill the evenings.

Nice clean up market hotel in the centre of Ipanema one block to the beach. There is a great view on the roof to watch the sunset. The breakfast restaurant is wonderful, and the reception people and staff at the hotel are great.
