when in expensed Rio we found this cheap option near Catete subway station. regular plain rooms, portugues and spanish spoken, near flamengo park. a little dark inside but if you are on a budget it is a good deal, at least it is a private room and your own bathroom!

I stayed in two different Hotels in this this Trip (2-9 of May 2014) I was not hapy at the first hotel, and move here because it left me with a favorable impression form my stay last year. However, thought he same friendly staff were here, there were several problems! Hairy snakes in the bathroom! about 6 in long and...

I arranged for friends in Rio to find me a safe clean budget hotel with internet and breakfast included. They came up with this hotel and I liked it a lot. The location is very good but it's not a nice hotel to stay in. The room was very basic and, although it was reasonably clean, it looked very grubby. The English speaking receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Bathroom was basic and small.
