Whilst the communal lobby and rooftop are nice, the room itself was shabby. Tiles in the bathroom we coming up, the wall under the air conditioning unit was black with mould, the chairs on the balcony were so filthy you couldn't sit on them, it was generally quite worn with splintered doorframe and so on. It was not what you...

super team. very attentive and the new rooms are from a dream!! I've stayed here a number of times since the launch in 2011 and it just keeps getting better. The rooftop swimming alone makes you feel you are someplace very special. Very personable team greeting you every morning with a smile and offering tips to enjoy the city. I...

Loved this place. Convenient location, right between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. It's high up so you get lovely views, and we were made to feel so welcome by all the staff. Would definitely recommend for a visit to Rio.

The hotel was clean airy with friendly staff and only a short walk from Ipanema beachfront. I loved the fact we stayed in the old part of the hotel which had lots of character but I believe the annex is very stylish also. The swimming pool has amazing views over the city and is a great place to relax after...

Casa Mosquito is a cozy boutique hotel, conveniently located in Ipanema. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The hotel is nice, quiet and clean; breakfast is yummy. The highlights of the place are the staff and the terrace. The staff members are friendly and extremely well-versed in all aspects of Rio. Rosa and Alex were able to provide insightful recommendations...

We recently spent five nights at Casa Mosquito whilst touring Rio. We chose it's location due to its central position between Copa and Ipanema beaches, which in our opinion was ideal. It's situated on a small winding, hilly road but is easily accessible by the multitude of very cheap taxis from anywhere in the city. The hotel will happily call...

What a nice surprise, when I came to this very lovely hotel very well located with the gorgeous view on the favellas. The owners, two nice french guys, greeted me with a very warm welcome. But my surprise got even bigger when I experienced the service delivered. That were, to me, exactly up to the standard of this hotel. I...

We stayed at Casa Mosquito having received a glowing review from a friend. Almost took me a year to write this review... Room, service, outlook, Amenities and friendliness are wonderful... However, be careful... I don't like being too negative on Tripadvisor because reviews are so subjective. However cautionary ... Yes! We arrived at 9pm at night with our private driver saying to be careful. We had just arrived from Buenos Aires and thought...

Dear Jimmy, Here is my version of the story, You drop you husband totally inconscius on the lounge bed located outside the reception, you and the other couple, tryed to wake him up, troughing all the detox water (courtesie of the hotel for all the guest) when the just climbed the stairs.
