    Beautiful old house with many comfortable places to relax. The staff was incredibly helpful in arranging taxis, suggesting things to do, etc. The area is bohemian and eclectic, an easy walk to the bars in Lapa (though I would take a taxi back at night)...More

    And by the way, the hotel itself is a fortress. Built in the 18th century on a very steep slope, it's protected by a high fence and entered through a long tunnel with a locked grated door, going directly into the elevator... More
