As with reviews below this hotel comes with it's pros & cons most of which have been listed - this is our view on these! Pro's Location - views from Christ to Sugar Loaf and beyond. We also found old areas into Santa Teresa to be relaxing for evenings out. Other areas easily accessible by taxi - you can't be...

We just spent one night there on our way to Ilha Grande. We booked a deluxe room called the botanic garden and it was really good, with a dedicated small terrace with an outstanding view of the city and the corcovado, from the side of the hill in Santa Teresa. Although this area seemed to be dodgy a few years...

The best of the hotel is the view. The second best of the hotel is the view and - yes - the third best is also the view which is really amazing. Unfortunately the management seems to think that this is enough. My suite was not really proper, the bathroom needs to be renovated. The guest can have the impression...

The hotel is good, the suites are quite comfortable, well decorated. Unfortunately the bar/ restaurant of the hotel was closed, and there was no food at all at 10:00 pm. No snacks to serve, even cold cuts weren't available. The air conditioner of my suite was not working ok, and at night the temperature of the room was ok, but...

The hotel has a beautiful view (if the "manager" consider that you deserve it and wants to give you a room with nice view), but there is no manager in this hotel! During my stay I saw only a clown who think he's a manager...

Amazing view and great service, only problem is location, hard to get a taxi that knows where the place is. It is quite isolated, which has its pros and cons, and in a district that is hard to access. Staff was amiable and efficient

Stayed for 3 night. The view from the rooms is spectacular. The hotel is located on high on the hills and Rio lies below you. The rooms are nicely decorated and are spacious. Unfortunately, the small easy things are really bad and annoying. Here is the list: 1. The hotel is located in a relatively dangerous region, far from everything...
