We left a really terrible hostel and went to this one. Compared to the other hostel this one was heaven! The staff were helpful and friendly, the bathrooms and rooms were clean and airconditioned. I can also recommend the tours they offer! It was excellent and great value for money. The hostel has a perfect location. Close to the beach,...

The rooms of the hostel are not in a single building, so in order to use wifi, I had to keep going down to he main office. Some points: They overcharge a bit for drinks in their bar. They have a rooftop mini pool that doesn't close. It's difficult to meet people in the hostel unless you're in the same...

Going to Rio de Janeiro was already the bomb! After spending a week in Sao Paulo, coming to a relaxing place close to the famous Copacabana beach and in distance to the bus station was definitely a positive. Although the hostel wasn't the most luxurious, it provided the necessities- a clean room, outside space, bathrooms, breakfast, and a friendly staff....

The best thing about this hostel is its location. It is 2 blocks away from Copacabana beach and 3 blocks away from a subway station. Plus, there's a bus stop right next to it. There are good options to eat and a supermarket a block away, so you can save a lot of money by cooking your own food (there's...

Rio fascinated me even before I visited this brazilian hot spot. I fancyied about falling in love there while listening to Al di Meola's instrumental "One flight to Rio" from "Elegant gipsy" album. Rio de Janeiro is a like a universe galaxy and I guess I was lucky from begining of my adventure. City obviously likes travelers like me. No...

Aybody could enter the building and grab your things. In fact, a guy entered...

The hostel is 150 m from the beach and is on bus routes, so it can be considered well placed. Stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. The room was very small with no character at all. The A/C was welcome though. The hostel was noisy until late at night which was very unpleasant. The reception staff sell a...

When we complained about it staff were very unhelpful and took us a long time to be attended to. location is good, but hostel is an unwelcoming place (As soon as you step into the reception area it feels smokey and very...

After spending a month travelling through Brazil, I expected the Copa Hostel to outshine the rest, given that it is found in Copacabana. From arrival, I was nothing but disappointed. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of the apartments, situated around the corner from the actual dorm accommodation. The apartment was decent enough, although for the price, I...

Worst hostel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in hostels across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Although multiple things were wrong with this hostel, the worst part about it was the staff who worked there and their total lack of ability and desire to help us with anything. Our room was in a building other than the actual...

Staying in Copacabana

Neighbourhood Profile
Copacabana
The rowdy Copacabana is one of the most traditional and old areas from Rio de Janeiro. This neighbourhood is a blend of Brazilian soul - crowded, rowdy and traditional. This neighbourhood has a bit of everything: bars with music, pubs, street fairs, chaotic streets, and many shops. All these things and more live side-by-side. There are options for all price points and tastes. However, the most powerful draw in Copacabana is still the fantastic view of the coast and the incredible beaches.
