A must go and stay for some days. The place is just great. Rooms are wonderful, with great atmosphere and the hole place has a great vibe. Is just in the historical part of Paraty, so you can walk anywhere. The pool area, bar and restaurants are also awesome.

As soon as we arrived at Posada Literia we felt the tranquility settle in. The Posada is built around a pool with lush green plants and many relaxing areas to sit. So beautifully lit at night it invites you to sit on one of the many couches around the pool to enjoy a glass of wine. The rooms are large... More

Delightful pousada, really well located in the historical centre. When you step through the entrance gates you enter a peaceful oasis where the staff look after you very well indeed. The heated pool is great, easy to enter and suitable for adults and children. Good comfy seating areas around the pool to relax in and a large and elegant indoor... More

We stayed here for 4 nights on the start of our Brazilian holiday and we loved the pousada. It has been renovated to a high standard mixing modernity with traditional styles and was simply beautiful. The breakfast included a good selection and you could order eggs as you like them! We didn't actually eat at the pousada so can not... More

Great historic, upscale hotel with a cultural feel to it. The hotel restaurant is out of this world with dishes influenced by local flare with a true high level chef's touch. The spa is awesome, the wife enjoyed the massage quite a lot.

We stayed for several days at the Pousada, the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is way better than what one can find in town. The hotel has been renovated and the decoration and furniture are exceptional . We stayed in the apartment , way too big for 2 but very nice nevertheless, if you do not need that space,... More

We had just finished with the Olympic Games and went to Paraty to have a few days of rest and relation before returning to the United States. The historic section of Paraty is reminiscent of the Greek Isles with a distinctly Brazalian flavor. We knew the Pousada Literaria was supposed to be a five star resort, but it was hard... More

I rarely put a 5 stars to an hotel on TripAdvisor. I am a frequent but quite demanding traveler. I must admit that if the 6 stars was available I would have put 6 to the Pousada Literaria in Paraty. One of the best hotels I ever visited (and I have visited a lot !). Let see if I can... More

Good location in the old town - very green and tranquil. Lovely breakfast area with very attentive staff. Reception staff were multi lingual and extremely helpful and also helped with the organisation of trips. The pool area is lovely - gorgeous setting and long enough to swim . A little warm for my taste as I like to swim laps... More

We have spent 4 days in this Pousada. Hard to find words for expressing the hospitality and helpfullness of the staff. All these people have made us feel great and welcommed. They not only helped us with everything we needed in a hotel or in the city but also did a great job helping us to find the lost luggage... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the historical center of Paraty, surrounded by cultural richness and natural exuberance, Pousada Literaria occupies a fully restored colonial house. High quality service, comfortable accommodations and complete leisure - here, every guest is always our main character. FLIP's official hotel, the Pousada Literaria is curated by the journalist Miguel Conde, who is inspired by literary references to guarantee the hotel's cultural identity. A stanza of a poem, a verse in a song, an excerpt from a novel- each corner of the hotel was designed to seduce. With the highest quality in service, we consider each of our guests our main character. The Pousada Literaria was projected by Jacobsen Arquitetura to have an atmosphere that reflects the tradition of Paraty in the arts and culture, and to offer all the refinement and comfort to our guests. The 23 accommodations are spacious and cozy and are equipped with king size bed, LCD TV with Sky channels, DVD, air conditioning, safe, wireless internet, besides a minibar that can be customized by the guest. All of them have towels and robes made of high quality cotton and Natura amenities, besides 600 thread count sheets for your comfort. Moreover, the Master Suites are composed with a living room and a Jacuzzi. For your comfort and convenience, Pousada Literaria offers indoor parking space for your car during your stay in Paraty. The leisure area has a hot swimming pool in its central area, bar, dry sauna, massage room and shower room - ideal for relaxation after a walk through the city, a dive in the ocean or bathing in the waterfalls of Paraty.
