We stayed here for 3 days in November. The hotel is an historic property on the harbour side of the central historic district. We had room 20, a two room suite, in the main building - this was a delightful suite, very spacious with old fashioned furniture which was perfectly adequate. Some of the rooms are on the opposite side... More

This was a pleasant pousada in the heart of Paraty. The staff were very helpful, knowledgable about the town sites to visit and restaurants. The room was well appointed with a good ensuite. One piece of advice, choose an upper floor room, as the ground floor ones tend to be gloomy and damp from lack of sunlight. Otherwise we enjoyed... More

Beautifully decorated, cute, photogenic historical hotel in great old city location on the waterfront. Staff were very helpful but they cant fix the fact that the building is hundreds of years old and it is in a swamp which, when it rains means everything is damp. I cant say how it is when it is dry. My room was in... More

Fantastic hotel with excellent service, great breakfast and good location. Chocolates on your pillow every night added a nice touch, no problem for them to arrange anything. They booked us a great boat trip with one of the few English speaking boat owners, a great day!!

Just spent four nights at do Ouro, what a lovely place, lots of room to relax and chill out around the pool, in the bar or in the lounge area all surrounded by lovely gardens and greenery. The breakfast is included and what a fantastic spread, lots of fresh fruit, juices, breads and of course a hot breakfast option. The... More

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days and enjoyed friendly and attentive service from all staff, particularly in the breakfast restaurant (Allan). Reception staff were helpful and gave an excellent restaurant recommendation. The bedroom suites were spacious, clean and furnished to a high standard. Breakfast was one of the best we have enjoyed in our stay in Brazil. The... More

It's all about location. From that perspective, it is hard to beat this Pousada. Perfectly located in the old city center; everything in walking distance. (For which you need comfortable walking shoes. Old cobbled roads are charming but a challenge to walk on. Bring sneakers.) It is a beautiful place too. Without a doubt. Nice pool and bar area and... In old part of town, where tides sweep the roads clean! Short distance from main squares, yet very peaceful. Beautifully sutuated pool, surrounded by local flora and fauna (humming birds visiting!). Relaxing bar and public area. Lovely dining room for breakfast offering a good choice of high quality food. Our room in annexe, rustic in character. Well maintained, clean and... More
