Basic double room taken with hot shower. We were in the hostel on our own due to the time of year, so very quiet. Bar (not in use when we were there), breakfast included bread, cheese, ham, fruit, coffee. Helpful english speaking staff. Tours available. Only Hostel in South America where we had to read a list of rules and...

Staff member really couldn't be bothered to check us in, looked annoyed when we arrived. They don't accept card which was annoying as we had to withdraw more when we were so close to leaving Brazil (travellers will understand the pain of being charged stupid amounts for withdrawing money) There was a 'rock' band practising in the common room next...

From the moment we decided to book at Hostel 76 everything went GREAT! The owner (Mayara) was a fantastic resource for things to do in the area and was eager to accommodate us and our requests. Once you get past Mayara's hospitality you have a very knowledgeable and courteous staff to take over. Breakfast is the standard Brasilian start to...
