Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed for 2 nights 3 days, From check in to check out all the staff in the hotel were great. Little touches from the staff didn't go unnoticed, From coiling up chargers to iced towels at the pool as it was to warm. Just great experience all round. Although expensive defiantly worth a chance to stay, Got to do the moonlight hike to the water fall and got some amazing photos, in the dark.

The facility location is incredible, and the hotel is historical and luxurious. The personnel pampered us, and every detail of our stay has been incredible and amazing. Strongly recommended for an unforgettable experience at the Iguazu falls!!!

Beautiful location and hotel. Lacking shuttle service to/from airport at comparable price. Value in the location and service are great, but not amenities. If you choose a visit to the bird sanctuary and helicopter ride, hotel will not take you there. They will drop you at the gate of hotel, which is several kilometers from hotel, then you have to walk on side of main road, no sidewalk to sanctuary and helipad. Would take two minutes if shuttle would drop guests. Ipê restaurant was fantastic, Itaipu restaurant was more formal but beef dishes were very salty, no complimentary bread, and water is always an extra charge. All else, it was a fantastic e natural wonder experience and would definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel itself is one of the best I've stayed in. Everything from the rooms, service, bar, pool and restaurants are top class. Then add on it's location in the national park and proximity to the falls it makes it exceptional. Fully recommend a visit, you are unlikely to be disappointed.

Words can not describe how incredible the stay was there, the staff were incredible along with the food and drinks. The best cocktails and I only wish I was there longer so I could try more of the food and drinks they had to offer. Room with a falls view was great!

Das cataratas is a hidden gem in the jungles of Iguazú… it is a paradise! Stunning property, well kept and well decorated. Every corner oozes elegance and royalty here. Staff and service is beyond expectations. From housekeeping, to bell desk, to concierge, to reception, to bar and restaurant staff … each and every member makes sure that you are taken care and you are comfortable. They won’t rush anything as if all time is ours. They have this beautiful smile on their bright faces always that you just want to fold your hands in respect and thankyou those souls. I am ever so grateful to visit this hotel!

The photos make this place look a bit old-fashioned but it actually strikes a great balance between classic and modern. The proximity to the falls is unbeatable (and I would suggest that the Brazil side offers more to do in terms of other attractions, compared to the Argentina side). The restaurants are good, the pool is great, and the service is excellent.

We spent two nights in Belmond. The concierge was very helpful. They planned the itinerary for us for the a little more than 48hrs time that we stayed in Iguazu region. Everything went smoothly. Andres, the guide from Belmond with Argentinian driver picked us up from the airport, then went straight to the Argentina side of the Iguazu falls. After we did upper and lower trails (devil’s throat was closed), Andres drove us through the border all the way to the hotel . He was so knowledgeable and spoke perfect english. The 1.5 hour drive flew by. We arrived the hotel just in time for the perfect sunset. The next day, when we woke up early, we took our time to walk on the trail without a single soul in sight. It was a perfect morning walk to marvel at mother nature. After the walk we had a leisurely breakfast, then we are ready for the boat ride. We spent our remaining time at the property just relaxing, swimming and getting massage. Two nights were perfect for us to see both sides of the falls and enjoy the hotel amenities a little bit. The hotel itself is a little bit too busy for my liking. Lots of tour groups were staying there, but for the unbeatable location and exclusivity of the park before/after parking hours, We really have no complaints.

We arrived at the hotel after travelling 2 weeks in Argentina. A very warm and friendly welcome from the well trained staff Rooms are stylish and well equipped We took drinks in the bar where you can hear and see the falls as the sun goes down, beautiful! We attended the ‘Near the borders’ experience, which is a dinner with wine pairing, themed around the 3 countries close to the falls: Brasil, Argentina and Paraguay. Cosy seats with coloured cushions and blankets outside in the garden, great dancers and a band Bravo to team Belmond das Cataratas, we are already looking forward coming back here
