Great Pousada. Nice room, helpful and friendly staff, and has a great and cozy living room. Afternoon tea is quite welcoming and breakfast was the highlight - very nicely prepared. It wasnt that easy to find but walking distance to the historic center whihc is great. There is a parking space not too far as well

This is a wonderfully restored old house with just a handful of rooms at the top of the stairs. Much attention has been given to details such as paint, lighting, furniture, decorations and so on. It is a pleasure to stay in such a Pousada. Staff will show you where to park your car in a secure lot up the...

Location is quite good and the place isn't expensive but very cold rooms (sun only reaches the rooms a few hours a day) and very noisy, both from other guests and from the road next door. Breakfast choice poor.

Perfect four night stay. Very tastefully restored/remodeled colonial building with rich wood floors and furnishings. Great attention to detail. Located just two blocks downhill from Praca Tiradentes (on the quiet side). Modern bathroom with great hot shower. Typical Brazilian breakfast was very good but not extravagant, however the breakfast area was bright and charming. The front desk staff is super...

We had a short stay (2 days) in Ouro Preto and it was very good to be close to the main square but protected from the noise. This place combines good price, good location, good attendance, very clean and it is also very comfortable. I completely recommend.

We stayed at Lacos de Minas for three nights in January 2013, and I would definitely stay there again, it was excellent and well priced. The pousada is located a few minutes walk downhill from the town square, near the stone market, down a narrow little street. It's still in the centre of the town, but just far enough away...

Nice place, great location, close to the Stone Market. Very clean, nicely decorated - typical Mineiro way, a quaint hotel - and also new. Breakfast is great and from 5 to 6 they offer a 'tea time'. Would definitely come here again.

We staid in Pousada Lacos de Mina's for one night as part of a broader trip through the historic cities of Mina's Gerais. We love staying here, as the building was very charming and so was the room, all in keeping with the historic character of Ouro Preto. We could park our car nearby and were a short walk from...

Clean, newly refurbished and with a lovely breakfast area. Quite an uphill hike to close by city center. Good selection of juices and fruits for breakfast. Close to City center and shops. There is no elevator but there are people to carry your luggage upstairs.

Was a pretty good location, but be advised it is a huff of an uphill hike into town square - but a short hike. Floor was spit-shined so vigorously that it was almost too slippery to walk on. Breakfast was good.
