We went hoping to see one jaguar in our 6 day stay. We had 9 sightings of 7 unique individuals. We had been told by another travel agent that her company did not book in this area as they bait the Jaguars. NOT TRUE. The Jaguars were hunt caiman along the river and we boated along and saw them at...

The accommodations were comfortable -- not luxurious by city standards -- but by wilderness standards, very good. Clean room, comfortable bed, excellent AC, and good plumbing. Food was hearty and tasty, A short walk to the river, and we were in a comfortable boat with a super-fantastic guide (perfect English, exceptional knowledge, sense of humor and easy-going) to see jaguars,...

This is not about this camp. It is about the guy whose passion makes it worthwhile staying here. I was in Pantanal visting at the wrong time of the year in 2011, yet Ailton Lara ( Tracker for Discovery Channel and Panthera) gave me such a wonderful program that I went back in Nov 2016 to find the Jaguar. We...

Staying at Jaguar Camp right on the river and in the heart of the Pantanal is a amazing experience. If you are going to the Panatanal then this is THE place ! Over two and a half days we saw 7Jaguars including a mother and her two cubs swimming across the river :-) The wildlife of course is much wider...

Highly recommend this trip. I spent 3 days at this lodge. Lodge:The accommodation was simple, clean and fuss free. Beds were made daily and bathroom was cleaned. Staff were so friendly. The owner of the lodge made an effort to approach the tourists and have a conversation with them, which was a really nice touch. The waiter there couldnt speak...

Near the end of the Transpantaneira Highway the camp is situated a few hundred metres from the river and was a perfect place to start our jaguar searching expeditions. We booked through Pantanal Nature who also own the property. The rooms are "rustic" but are comfortable enough. They have air conditioning which is remarkably effective and the communal area has...

The place is really nice, in the middle of the Pantanal. Ailton is always worried about the people staying there and looking for our experience to be the best one. He knows a lot about the region and learning from him was incredible. We even got an improvised concert from him did after diner. We did the tour the next...

I stayed here as part of a custom tour with my awesome guide Fisher Sousa. This is an amazing lodge for wildlife & jaguar in particular. Animal viewing all happens by boat which are comfy & spacious - seating between 6 to 10. But just 3 if you are lucky enough to have Fisher as your guide! The food was...

I visited many places throughout the Pantanal, and Jaguar Camp was by far my favorite. It is comfortably rustic, fitting well into the surrounding wilderness. The jungle setting is really lovely, so near the river, the vehicle they provide is not really necessary. It is very clean, safe and cozy. The staff is remarkable, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food...

Had two nights here with our Teenage Sons. The accommodation was basic but clean and comfortable so provided all we needed. Complimentary water was very welcomed, the food was good and the staff great. This is a small friendly lodge with only 6 rooms so quite boutique. Had a day and a half on the water looking for jaguar and...
