The hotel is located near a major shopping and convention area. This made for easy access to restaurants, taxis, and all the services one needs. It was also relatively safe. The front desk was exceptionally helpful. They organized a city tour and several emails, scans and printing of documents. All done with a smile and no extra charge. The rooms are good, spacious. Television is only in Portuguese.
The hotel itself isn’t bad. I was in Brasilia in a Congress so basically I woke up early everyday and went back after dinner just to sleep. In my opinion, in a normal situation the hotel is a ok option and the reason I’ll give them a low score is because the hotel is going through renovations and they never mentioned that in any channel that would give me the opportunity to decide whether I to stay there or not. By the way, the hotel really needs renovations, including in the room I stayed but they have to let the costumer know that. The restaurant Lucca in the first floor has a decent breakfast and the hotel is located near (walking distance) to malls and food restaurants such as Fogo de Chão.
I have stayed here a few times when travelling for business, and my experience has always been very good. The rooms (suites, actually) are very comfortable and welcoming. The hotel in general is very well kept. Also, the location is great, very close to the convention center, a short ride from the central government area, and close to parks and trails where you can go for jogging or biking. The restaurant is good but expensive, though. The good part is having a Fogo de Chao just across the street. The only downside is that the hotel is split in 3 blocks, with 3 different entrances and desks. Make sure that you ask when making your reservation which block you're in, so you don't need to walk.
I had a prepaid reservation made in the smiles site. Upon my arrival they did not find my reservation, so I had to authorize the debit in my credit card. So I authorized because it was Sunday and I was really tired. I did my checkout on Monday and the lady confirmed they found my reservation and cancel this pre authorization. To my surprise today I received a message from my cc informing a debit in my CC. Calling their they said they used my CC because smiles didn´t pay them. This is unacceptable charging me twice. also how did they save my cc info? writing down in a paper? what is my guarantee they will not longer use it. Instead of having a conversation with Smiles they preferred to looping me here. CC info is dead serious. I opened a ticket in the bank, Mastercard too to double check how they are manipulating and using this info. Based on it be careful if they writing down your CC in a piece of paper you can receive a surprise like i did.…
Great location in Brasília. I stayed in the block having apartments a small room with an attached living space. Sparsely furnished the place looked old and worn down. The air conditioning did not work properly. The restaurant in the main hotel was nice had a good dinner there. Just for the location the place is not worth staying.
