The first room was dirty and when we were moved due to the lack of staff to clean the room we got another dirty room (cleaner bed sheets but hairs and pubic hairs everywhere), we just gave up cleaned it ourselves and aired out the room. Dishes in the restaurant area had lipstick marks and were generally unsanitary. We checked out a day earlier because of the garbage service we were getting and got dismissed when asked for a refund. Don't go there, you'll be sorely disappointed.

If a hotel is badly managed it goes wrong in almost every detail. Grand Bittar is just a very bad hotel. I will not try to be subtle here. Reception is understaffed, with a hotel system that is even slower. Check in took half an hour and done with any lack of smile. And on the opposite: if there is nobody to attend, the receptionist is in the room behind and the lights go of automatically during daytime which provides a spooky unwelcome atmosphere. Besides the normal spring box, the room lacks any charm. Ceramics and bathroom still from communist times. No large towels, only ultra thin small worn out ones. No stop in the bath, with an inconvenient shower. Toilet keeps running. Gym is a joke. Absolutely unacceptable just to gain a star. Swimming poll is only nice to take a foto from very far. Just to get the 4/5 star .....same story. Brasilia does not have a real 5 star hotel and it is not easy to have true smiling service. But nobody deserves this poor quality product.

We have been there last Sunday just after our long flight from Italy to Brazil. We came there after having stopped at the Hotel Bittar, an economic 3 stars hotel, close to it, but much less comfortable. So be sure to book the right one ! The overnight was good and as well breakfast. Our stay was too short to judge the rest of the Hotel, which seemed to us very well organized.

I had the chance to stay at the grand Bittar for only one night. The room was comfortable, the bathroom quite big and the view on the city center super cool. Breakfast is good, and service, as in most of Brazil is quite average (to poor). Nevertheless the average overall experience was good.

Stayed for 1 night while passing through Brasilia. Very quiet although as it's more of a business hotel, I guess it's busier during the week. Good quality, nice big room and very comfortable. Huge bathroom but with just a shower and no bath. Balcony to sit out on, but view is straight into the next hotel and a building site. Went to the bar for a drink and waited 20mins for anyone to appear and then another 10mins for our orange juice to arrive. Decided if service was this slow we wouldn't chance the restaurant so went out for dinner instead. Breakfast was ok but nothing special. On Check-out we needed to pay for our juices but they couldn't take cash as they had no change.
