I’m originally from Brasília but I live at USA over 30 years! I spend 7 nights at the Brasília Palace Hotel! The location was great, service was excellent the hotel needs more green plants inside and they should have more seating areas around the lake that is so beautiful! I know that is the city icon, however the old carpet was a turn off smells cigarettes! My hope is that the management make little changes and continue to make it more pleasant for years to come! Overall great place to visit!
A long time wanted to visit hotel in our bucket list of amazing Oscar N, architecture. The building, the grounds and the rooms were up to our expectations. The check in process, the receptionist and room staff all very friendly. Disappointing, to very disappointing were the breakfast, the service at breakfast and restaurant Oscar. The interior is sterile, it lacks of any sort of soul, atmosphere is sadly missing, and the food... breakfast looked and tasted like economy class airline food, white buns of cheap breads, each dish wrapped in plastic . no love at all in the process of preparing it, poor slow service, poor kitchen We spend some hours by the pool , no-one came across from the restaurant to ask if we needed any thing, when ringing a plastic bell you are well to wait for just a while before someone comes ... Sadly because the lack of quality catering service ( consider your are away from any restaurant option , un less you walk 20' or take a cab to the city ) we decided got leave after one night…
We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it! Designed by Oscar Niemeyer, it has a stylistic feel with minimal furnishings allowing you to appreciate the architecture. And the breakfast is excellent with a range of hot and cold food plus an egg station. You will need to get an Uber into the centre but, If the suns out, then the hotel pool has a beautiful lake vista and is right by Oscars restaurant. I think this is the best hotel in Brasilia. We checked out the garish red hotels next to BP and thought them basic. There is a hotel quarter in the centre but they lack character.
We stayed at the Brasília Palace Hotel during our honeymoon and really, really enjoyed it. I agree with other reviewers that the rooms are a bit drab but I don’t think this is why you’d choose to stay here (or not). Come to appreciate Niemeyer’s work! You feel like you are staying in a time capsule and experiencing 60s glamour. We loved it. We had a great meal in the restaurant and enjoyed both our breakfasts, and the whole team were very friendly and welcoming.
The place is awesome. I specially love the trees in the garden and the openness and the view. We’ve waked, ride the free bikes, great gym. Just missed a little bit more charm in the rooms, some minimal decor, a picture, a nice smell. But besides that, a wonderful place to be in Brasilia
