I have been in the hostel renting a private room. It was comfortable especially silent and clean and staff was very nice. They have a great buffet breackfast and a luncheonette for lunch and dinner. The location is great in the nicest and safest part of the Salvador de Bahia (Pelourinho). They have a board with all the activities in...

If you would like to stay in the Pelourinho, the location of the hostel is perfect - it is just around the corner of the most popular squares, churches etc. of Salvador's old town. I booked the female dorm with 7 beds and I stayed only for one night, so it was fine, but the dorm is very, very small....

We've been here low season so the hostel was quite empty. We had such big bedroom for two of us. If you want to visit Salvador, the location is really really really good ! You'll find lot of bars, restaurants around. If you want a quiet hostel it is may be not the place for you because you'll hear the...

Really great location and the place is nice. Friendly staff, clean rooms and bathroom. We had a privet room so we had a privet bathroom but my friends shared the bathroom and they had nothing bad to say at all! Walking distance from historical monuments and nightlife. Watch you pockets all the time and don't go out alone especially at...

We stayed in this hostel prior to a trip to Chapada Diamantia in October 2015. Had a really great time, it was safe, clean and with a great location. The city itself wasn't very safe which was a shame and this limited our ability to explore. There were several close restaurants which were very nice. Would recommend to anyone staying...

Located walking distance from Praca da Se, elevator Lacerda, metro bus stop and right in the middle of Pelo, this is one of the best hostels I have stayed in Brazil. Very friendly staff, very clean rooms & (shared) bathrooms and a great view from room 'B' (where I stayed).

I am late reviewing this, as I stayed here in August 2015. I highly recommend staying here. The place is clean, affordable, and relatively safe. The hostel closes at 10pm nightly, so do not lose the card given to you upon check in. Nice breakfast in the mornings. Everything is walking distance. If you don't like noise, don't stay here....

This is a really nice and clean hostel in Pelourinho, a colonial neighborhood in Salvador. The place has a very welcoming vibe and friendly staff, with a cozy bar/café on the first floor. The rooms are comfortable, clean, decent sized. They seemed a bit musty when I was there – smelled slightly damp – but it was tolerable. The hostel...

Laranjeiras is well located in the colonial district of Salvador. The hostel staff was very professional, and the hostel has security practices in place such that you feel very safe during your stay (Pelourinho can be a dangerous area). Lobby wi-fi was solid, and there was a decent variety in couches and hammocks in which to sit and read. Breakfast...

This hostel I found one of the best places of Salvador - and Salvador has great places. First te staff: I felt as more than a welcome guest. They were very helpfull; no tonly in giving information about the city, but also in explaning Portuguese to my eager learing ears. They were engaged and I could borrow their guitar every...
