If after reading the previous reviews you think a place can't be this good: believe me, it can. I stayed 3 nights at the guesthouse, two before and one after a trip upriver the Rio Negro. And yes it is clean, quiet, safe and beautiful. But what made staying there such a wonderful experience was the incredible and genuine care...

Imagine 14 hours of flights & arrival before 5 AM in the dark, & being greeted by Clive, who made me feel like I was going to visit with friends. They are located near the airport as well, which means an easy, short drive. The clean rooms (air conditioned) & well maintained spacious grounds (& in-ground pool, which I did...

Stayed at this Guest House late December and felt at home. Great hosts, very hospitable and helpful, nice, clean, roomy accomodations, near beach and Military Zoo (which I enjoyed). Wholeheartedly recommend this place if you are visiting Manaus, to Clive and Naice, it was nice meeting you and hope to stay at your wonderful place again sometime. BRUCE AND DEBRA...

Clive and Naice have created a haven for travellers just outside Manaus. We were met at the airport late at night - our plane was several hours late - and welcomed into their charming home. Our room was luxurious with a huge bed, lovely fluffy towels, and a great view over tropical forest. The breakfasts were absolutely superb! Compensation for...

Stayed for one night in Dec 2009 prior to heading our to the Amazon. Hosts Clive and Nice are great - picking us up from the airport, helping us arrange a trip to central Manaus, picking us up from dinner, providing us maps and advice for what to see. They were even kind enough to let us carry their cell...

This was so much better than we could possibly have hoped for. The room we had was perfect in all respects. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped and a nice aspect. The house itself was free for us to use and the gardens and pool lovely. The guesthouse is located handily close to the airport, but not so you get air traffic noise....

Manaus is awful. Only thing of interest to see is the opera house and the place itself needs to be given a wide berth. But on the way to see the Amazon Maguires is a gem. The owners are so helpful, fetching you from airport, taking and fetching you from the city which is great believe us. The place is...
