A really good find on internet - stayed 3 nights each time on 2 seperate occasions. Arrived late in the evening on my first stay and was greeted, checked in and shown to my room quickly. They had arranged for a transfer for me - by Alejandro Messina, who I used again to transfer me from Jujuy to Salta. Would highly recommend him for any transport needs. Luckily, I got one of the older ones rooms, so not sure what the added on rooms look like. And when I returned a week later, I was remember! And another older room and my in storage was quickly located. Breakfast is simple and enough to keep you going. Wifi was good and quick. Hairdryer in each bathroom and aircon works well. Hot water can take some time to appear. The rooms I had were large and clean - housekeeping everyday. All the staff that I came into contact with were professional, polite and you were always greeted. Quite centrally, with supermarkets and money change place just down the road. It's a perfect base to explore the area, rather than staying in Tilcara which seems to be very touristy. I organised a day tour with a local company, called ADN Travel - 8am start, 7pm finish, and we did Salina's Grandes, Purmamarca in the afternoon and then catching the late afternoon there as well. The tour was only in Spanish. I organised my own day trip on the local bus to Tilcara and 3 hours plenty of time for this wee town - actually I was quite board after an hour and it's very touristy. Jujuy offers more choices for food and more reasonable priced hotels like El Arribo.

This is a lovely beautifully converted old property with real style. We stayed in one of the newer rooms at the back of the hotel, which was spacious and spotlessly clean. Good aircon and great shower, together with a lovely comfy bed provided everything you need in a decent hotel. Breakfast was decent and the staff always welcoming, friendly and helpful. The pool was a nice bonus for cooling off on a hot day. Would not hesitate to recommend this place.

This is a very nice hotel. We arrived late at night and we were greeted very professionally and cordially. The hotel and rooms have a very colonial look. Rooms are very comfortable, clean and have everything you would expect. Breakfast was great!!! Location was very good. Don't go anywhere else. Specially, don't go to a chain hotel when you can be in this hotel and be comfortable and at the same time feel like you are in a house in Jujuy!

Located in the center of the bustling Provincial Capital of San Salvador de Jujuy is this boutique hotel. Nicely restored generous rooms with original floors and high ceiling give a nice rest bit from the busy city streets just outside the gate. Right in the center of the action and a center point for excursions outside the city. A great option for the savvy traveller.

We stayed at El Arribo on 3 separate nights. Overall we found it comfortable although our first night (Friday in room 1) was very noisy. There was no restaurant for evening meal but the breakfast, although simple, was plentiful and tasty - we were also able to have it from 05:30 which really helped as we were touring. The rooms were spacious and the bed comfortable. The pool was half-full of green water (still early in the season) but the garden were pleasant to relax in. The staff were friendly but sometimes communication was difficult as we don't speak much Spanish. I'm not too sure about the facilities in the area but we did struggle to find a local restaurant open on Monday evening. We did feel safe in the area. Overall it served our purpose quite well and we would recommend El Arribo for short stays.
