We booked this hotel through JTB, with a package including round trip train ride and two-night stay, for about 300 US dollar per person. This price for onsen trip is considered quite cheap in Japan, so we weren't expecting much. The hotel is about five minutes bus ride (feee shuttle) from down center, the room is quite small, but very...

I went with my French husband's family from France, and my parents (Japanese). Although the hotel is not new, I thought it is kept clean and not too rusty, as it usually is the case for many ryokans and hotels nowadays. Buffet was pretty good, and hotel offered many interesting things to do for families, such as bowling, karaoke, and...

The hotel might a little bit dated but not a problem at all!! They provide many facilities. Staff were full of service mind ,though they can barely speak English but they're so polite and keen to help. The food were in buffet style (unlimited crab legs for dinner). Also they provide free morning walk tour.

We booked two nights through JTB. Hotel is showing its age, could use some or should I say lots of TLC. Staff at check is friendly, very few speak english. We were told no wifi in the room, but as it turned out there was wifi in the room after all. Our luxury room was very small, nothing luxurious about...

This is a large resort with many wings. The staff is helpful and there are a few who can speak English. This resort has 2 public baths, one with an outside furo. The meals are buffet and you have a choice of 2 restaurants. This resort is about a 15 minute walk, if you know the route, to the Yubatake....

The hotel complex is easily accessible by car, but only if you can search for it. Via booking .com, we bought a night here as the hotel "Kusatsu Onsen Hotel Village"... but that name couldn't be found in Google Maps and luckily I had the hotel's correct phone number, which can be used for GPS navigation. Note, the Japanese name...

We were not expecting nothing luxurious from this resort, but the structure is really old and decadent, from bedrooms to all facilities. A typical place for families who love crowded contests. Food is served through buffet in three different restaurants...quality and selection are not bad. Not an easy accomodation for not-Japanese...english is not spoken and the international standards aren't concerned.

Nakazawa Village (NV) is a sprawling resort with several annexes and also a secluded lohgouse village. Staying in the loghouse village means one needs to cover rouhly 1km each way to enter spa, have the meal or use any of the many resort facilities. On the other hand, the road to the main hotel building is a nice walk through...
