We spent 4 nights at the Americana Hotel in October. We stayed in a deluxe queen room. On the outside the hotel could use an upgrade but our room was very clean and comfortable and appeared to be recently renovated. This hotel is in an excellent location, particularly for the cost. We had a short 10 minute walk to the...

The Americana is not a showplace by any stretch of the imagination. It's definitely dated, BUT the staff knows how to offer excellent customer service! They do as much as they possibly can to make your stay enjoyable. Because my husband ran the Marine Corps Marathon, we needed to extend our checkout. This was handled with ease! We were also...

Stayed 2 nights - Sat/Sun on Marine Marathon weekend Very nice and clean place next to what appeared to be an upscale Embassy Suites but Americana was way cheaper (weekend tourist rate) and free parking. Staff extremely helpful in giving directions and recommendations for places to eat. Also advised walking 2-3 blocks to Runners Village vs taking crowded metro. Beds...

My brother, sister in law and I were there to run the Marine Corps Marathon and wanted something reasonably priced since we were staying 4 nights. Having read the reviews we chose the deluxe king and when one keeps in mind that this is a self professed independently owned budget hotel I was completely satisfied. Please note that this review...

Our 5 night stay in the Americana was more than enjoyable. This is not the Ritz but the location, and the staff make up the difference. Rooms are adequate and clean, continental breakfast was fine (plenty of fresh fruit and coffee), and the shuttle was available for short local trips. Metro was a short walk away. The Americana is reasonably...

The Americana is outdated and corky, but it gets the job done. I needed a place to stay for the Marine Corps Marathon. The beds were compfy and the service was welcoming and helpful. The price was right and the free breakfast was perfect.

The Americana is not big, fancy or ornate. But it is convenient, clean and friendly. Its a couple of blocks away from the Metro ( that they will give you a ride to) and then you can get anywhere. The free breakfast was adequate ( nothing hot except the oatmeal & coffee) but amply stocked. One morning I was going...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights with a our daughter, son in law and grand-kids. Had 2 rooms with double beds (connected) and that was perfect. Plentiful self-parking is free and metro is close - you really never have to drive once you are here. But they do have a shuttle as well. In Crystal City Close...

Staff is polite, helpful and friendly. The deluxe room was freshly painted, updated bedding, new curtains and comfortable beds. The other furniture was old but clean. Great value for the money. The bathroom is straight out of 1963. It was clean. Made me feel like I was visiting at my grandparent's house.
