We found this gem online and it is conveniently across the street from my nieces apartment. Reviews online were all good, the price was right and we literally only needed a bed and a shower. Rest of my family opted to stay at the Holiday Inn Express down the road for $30-40 more per night and I think they may...

We stayed here for three nights as we wanted to visit Washington/ Smithsonian museums. The staff were very helpful, Dan drove us to the Metro each day and gave us many helpful tips about using the Metro, and things to see. It was a 15 minute walk from the Metro back to the hotel. It is not fancy, but clean and...

This is a great place to stay when visiting the DC area. The motel is older but it is family run and has a very nice staff. Because it is older the price is cheaper than all the hotels in the area. Location: this is just off of the 1 in Fairfax county, so it is several miles outside of...

Stayed two nights at this gem of a hotel. Very friendly front desk, provides shuttle to Metro, rooms are clean. Could use a little updating. Will certainly stay again if in the area. Easy to get to DC and the museums.

I booked this motel on a quick trip to D.C. I knew I wasn't going to spend much time in the room so all I cared for was cleanliness and comfortable beds. Well I was impressed. The bed was very firm yet comfy, the bathroom was impeccably clean and there was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The staff...

This is an excellent little place just outside of Washington DC's busy city area. A small little motel, you can tell it's been there a while. It's not all brand shiny and new, but it is a treasure I'm sure many do pass up for pricier places. DON'T. First off, it's very clean. It has some dents and dings here...

I wanted to camp near Washington, DC in order to visit the Smithsonian. The only campsite available cost $73 USD. (and I would need to take a bus and subway to the Smithsonian!) For $75 USD, I found this gem of a place, where they shuttle you to the subway, explain how to use the system, and provide a continental...

We were on our way from NJ to NC and Alexandria, VA was about the halfway point (I wanted to get past DC prior to stopping for the night). Knowing that we'd get there around 11 pm and would be leaving by 8 am, we basically needed a place to crash for the night. I went on booking.com and this...

Although this is an older motel ,it is conveniently located and has a staff who were all genuinely friendly and helpful. I will stay here again. It is less than a mile from Huntington Metro station and it is an easy drive into Old Town Alexandria. You need a car when staying here because of the location.

Stayed here for the inauguration as DC hotels would be too pricey. Good location if you're just going to crash there, which is all we did. Appreciated shuttle service to the Metro in the mornings. Evenings you either have to walk back, or catch a bus or taxi from the station. The walk was 10+ minutes. Stopped at little Japanese...
