Stayed in the Jefferson room for 3 night wine and beer touring. Location was easy and convenient to everything. Room was clean and comfortable and the food is absolutely wonderful!!! Will definitely be back next time we are going to the wineries.

Visiting the Rockfish Valley around Christmas can be risky - only artificial snow at Wintergreen, many businesses closed early or closed for the season, the weather varying from bitter cold to wet and muddy. However, it can also be completely relaxing, unhurried and filled with little discoveries. The Afton Mountain B&B is one of those little gems and a perfect...

My wife and I, from Northern Virginia, enjoyed a couple of nights at the Afton Mountain B&B and were welcomed upon arrival by owners Dan and Orquida. This Victorian B&B dates back to the mid 1800's and we enjoyed the shenandoah bedroom which was on the first floor convenient to a couple of the sitting rooms and dining room. The...

This is our 4th stay with Orquida and Dan. They are the most wonderful people and make you feel like you are truly at home. The food, as always, is fantastic. This is the most relaxing atmosphere and there are so many great things to do nearby. This is our "go to" place when we have time to get away.

Best feature is being within a couple of miles of the Sky Line Drive. Felt it overpriced after taxes added. Room had sink in room and no closet, a hanger on the door. Public porch just outside the window of our room where other guests sat for chatty and rather loud conversation.Bed comfortable. Family has dog if that is a...

Afton Mountain B&B give you a small taste of relaxing country living. The beautiful 160 year old house has been meticulously maintained by Dan. The house and grounds have multiple outdoor sitting locations for one to take in nature or enjoy the tasty morning coffee. My wife and I stayed in the Mornington room which did not disappoint. The room...

My wife and I stayed here for one night during a road trip to Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Mountains. Orquida and Dan were super nice and the room was very comfortable and clean. It is a very special house with a beautiful yard and rocking chairs on the balcony. They think on al the little details by offering complementary...

Orquida & Dan offer top-shelf accommodations. Very nice rooms. Extra yummy breakfast offerings featuring local farm to table fare. Great location for touring Virginia wineries and microbreweries along picturesque Hwy. 151.

Dan & Orquida were good hosts. They greeted us at the door when we arrived & showed us around the first floor of the house. We stayed in both the Looking Glass & Jefferson rooms. We especially enjoyed the Jefferson room with the high 4- poster bed and the furnishings & decor. It was great to have cookies & drinks...
