Feb 2017 -- We stayed in the Taylors Shops a detached cottage! The host/owner Rick was beyond hospitable -- even getting a signed autographed picture of the "Soup Nazi" (whom was staying there for a soup contest in town) for my wife. Even though we had been to Abingdon before, Rick was full of knowledge and helpful recommendations! Thank you...

Our second stay at this beautiful Inn and 3 nights over the Thanksgiving Holiday was perfect ! We've been visiting Abingdon and the Barter Theater for 28 years and this Inn and The Black Dog Inn (also owned by Rick & Susan) are by far the most beautiful and relaxing accommodations we have stayed. Rick and Susan are so attentive...

My husband and I stayed in the blue room and the cabin and were very pleased with both places. Rick and his wife are wonderful people. They are another jewel within a town that is a peaceful place to visit.

We just stayed 2 nights at A Tailor's Lodging. From the moment I called and we arrived and he helped carry our luggage till we left, Rick was a consummate host. He has a wealth of historical knowledge and suggestions on dining and more than willing to take all the time in the world to answer questions. We stayed in...

Stayed three nights at A Tailor's Lodging. The room and property was very nice. Not a true B&B as they don't serve breakfast, but have plenty of coffee, OJ, water, milk, etc. We simply brought our own cereal. Centrally located, walking distance to pretty much everything in downtown Abingdon.

The experience was positive from beginning to end. We stayed in the tailor 's shop at the back of the property. Everything was perfect. Our host suggested where to eat and showed us how to get to the two theatres. We walked everywhere. If we are in Abingdon again, we will be sure to go there. Oh, and we were...

Actually was the Inn next door that the owners just renovated. Was a magical weekend with old college roommate! The room was comfortable , excellent private bathroom, Beautifully furnished. The owners gave us excellent recommendations and we took their advice. The biking, the restaurants, the Theatre, ice cream and The Tavern. Also an amazing breakfast on the way home!

My wife and I stayed there in August of 2016 to go to the Barter and it was a very good experience. The owner Rick was very helpful and provided a lot of interesting facts about the house. The rooms are clean and nice. They do not serve breakfast but that was not a big deal for us. To compensate,...

We didn't know quite what to expect when we made reservations here, but were absolutely thrilled when we arrived. We stayed in room 3 which is actually a separate cottage. Rick is such a historian his family has been here since the 1770's, do he was a wealth of info. Plus he gave great advice on restaurants. There Is no...

This place is ideally located, especially if are going on the Creeper Trail. Its just a few steps away from the trailhead. You have no one beside, above or below. The bed sleeps great and the owners are very accommodating. The refrigerator is stocked with milk, juice, drinks and water. Oh my, how much better than staying in a hotel....
