We got married here in September of 2015. We loved everything about our wedding! The staff was very friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Prices were very reasonable. The views were incredible. The room that we stayed in on our wedding night was comfortable and relaxing. We could not have asked for a better experience. To celebrate our 1-year...

Alta Lodge is a very comfortable and accommodating hotel. It is still family owned and has a nice low key atmosphere in an unbelievably beautiful setting. This is not a "fancy" hotel. It is a mountain lodge experience. There are no tv's in the rooms, no coffee makers etc. There is coffee and tea available 24/7, free, in the lobby....

You need to know what you are getting before you arrive. If you are looking for a five star resort with all of the amenities they offer, then this lodge is not for you. If you are looking to relax, disconnect, look at beautiful vistas and enjoy fabulous food, then you are in the right place. The lodge is basically...

Loved the lodge and its staff. The food was excellent and presented beautifully. It snowed Friday night and when I left on Sunday, the van driver shoveled out my car that had been plowed in. Thanks to all the staff!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Alta lodge on a beautiful Saturday in August. Our wedding was 155 people and the lodge accommodated us wonderfully. Maren and the rest of the staff were very helpful and friendly and everyone raved about the incredible food. At least half of our guests stayed at the lodge the night of...

I'm genuinely baffled by all the rave reviews! We were sent here as a "back up" because our conference site was booked and we were warned to expect "bare bones". Nothing could've prepared me for what we got. First, upon entry, there are 3 flights of stairs to travel down before accessing the lobby or rooms. No Elevator?! Not being...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! This was the absolute worst hotel experience of my life. I stayed here along w/ my sister for 3 nights and the accommodations were terrible. I am genuinely confused by all of the 5 star reviews! #LIES! First of all, the lodge is located way up high in mountains were...

We spent a week here in January with our 4 kids,we had 2 rooms next to each other. really helpful team reception, we all enjoyed the lodge atmosphere and my wife and i managed to sneak off a couple of times for a drink in the bar upstairs. Bit of a step back in time, but great to be able...

I was at Alta this August for a family wedding. The deck/patio area at sunset, looking up the mountainside was an extraordinarily beautiful setting for a wedding. The service at Alta was great. The continental breakfast had many good choices. The lodge is somewhat rustic, not having any elevators. This isn't really a problem in the lodge, where the levels...

If you are coming to SLC in the summer you can stay in the valley or you can make the trek up here to this little throwback haven in the canyon. Staff is pleasant, rooms are clean, and breakfast is good (the most American "continental" I've had - includes hot food). The rooms transit sound and the halls creak so...
