For nearly 20 years I have been going to the Alta Lodge nearly every month during the ski season, usually staying five nights at a time. The rooms are comfortable, the food outstanding and the care shown by the staff is over the top. For me this family run lodge has been a home away from home.

Great lodge and the staff go above and beyond making your stay wonderful. I stay in the original wing and find it perfect for me. The location of lodge is slopeside so ski out is great. The food also is wonderful

Knowledgeable and cheery staff helps with anything a skier could want. Alta Lodge's location, just uphill from one of Alta's chair-lift bases, is incredibly convenient. The lodge and rooms are small, compact, and well-maintained. The kitchen prepared a good variety of delicious meals: breakfast and dinner are included, lunch is offered extra. The dining room easily accommodates singles/couples and large...

This is a great ski lodge, but not your typical great lodge. It is extremely cozy, and friendly. The rooms don't have televisions (which is good!), so you are drawn to the main, common area, with a fireplaces, and comfortable chairs, great for reading and talking. There is one television, great for watching family movies and football games. There are...

I've been coming to the Alta Lodge for years: it's the epitome of a ski resort. It's made for skiers, and has just what you need to rejuvenate after a day on the slopes - a crackling fireplace, tea time, hot tub and sauna, and a filling meal. It's elegant without pretension, homey and welcoming, not to mention ski-in, ski-out....

We have been coming here twice each year for several years now and bringing our daughter, son-in-law and grandkids, so we see all age groups. The staff are simply exceptional. You can tell they love the Lodge, the ski area, and guests, which is just contagious. On this visit, we are having massive snow (so far one storm alone has...

I have now attended two ski clinics at the Alta Lodge - the woman's clinic and the powder-tracks. Both were fantastic. I am an expert skier, but needing to fine-tune my performance and not skiing quite as aggressively as I once did. The instructors were great about organizing us into groups of 5 persons of similar ability and agressiveness, and...

As part of a 20-person family gathering we found the front desk and dining room staff totally focused on attending to our every need and request. We enjoyed the food, gathering on comfortable sofas in front of a huge gas fireplace, tea and cookies after skiing and soaking up bright sunshine streaming through the windows.

Staying at Alta Lodge reminds me of childhood ski vacations. It's all about the the skiing. Come back zonked, after a day outside in the mountains to a hot bath and a hot meal, and all is right with the world. But my childhood ski lodge was never swarming with well trained young people eager to help you with anything...

I love skiing. I learned relatively late - only 6 years ago, and a good friend of mine invited me to Alta Lodge. So, I've started going to Alta Lodge 6 seasons ago, and I have been there every year, at least for a week. That is the place to go, if you LOVE skiing, and you love staying at...
