Throughly enjoyed our stay. My husband and I had never stayed there. Always wanted to and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be staying again next time we are back in Austin which is about one a month.

We were at the bar and people was casual but elegant, not shorts or sandals... kind of like date night - I have to imagine that the restaurant for the hotel would be elegant as well.

SoCo (south congress) is 5 blocks from the Driskill, so not too bad if you don't mind the walk. I stayed about a month ago, walked from Driskill to Zilker Park and back, but did it for exercise and put some miles in that... More

Not sure what this is referencing. I hope you know this was statement you posted was emailed to everyone that stayed at the Driskill in Austin as a question.
