Pricey but charming and close to campus. Super friendly and helpful staff. Old home redone with modern charm. Happy Hour from 4 to 7. Nice courtyard and pool. Restaurant located in hotel as well. Nice getaway for a special occasion!

We spent a long weekend in Austin, the primary reason to see Adele in concert (memorable) and stayed at this beautiful small hotel. How refreshing not to be in one of the usual chain or hip skyscraper hotels. First off the kingsize bed and pillows were just the best- an essential for me! The staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a... More

My daughter had a doctor appointment nearby UT so we decided to visit my UT son and stay at Hotel Ella. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant (I recommend the roasted carrot salad) and a wonderful night's sleep in our room. I was worried at first as I could hear the man in the room next door snoring,... More

The property is lovely. However: when I arrived to check in, there was a bridal shower or something in the hotel restaurant that was extremely loud, making it impossible to eat dinner at the hotel. In the morning, I was supposed to have breakfast with a colleague at the hotel, but there was an Accenture event in the restaurant; we... More

We came for an overnight stay for a concert. When we checked in Travis was excellent. We wanted to change rooms due to the rain and we were able to without a problem. However we then wanted the original room and moved yet again, sorry!! He went above and beyond and it was of no issue. When we went to... More

If "ya'll" are planning a trip to beautiful Austin, Texas, you should definitely consider the Hotel Bella. Mind you there is no shortage of hotels given all the recent development in Austin but this charming hotel harks back to a bygone era of beautiful architecture (without sacrificing today's expected amenities) and original artwork. Staff are so helpful and the rooms... More

I found this to be a quaint, small inn with good breakfasts, and comfortable rooms. I needed a room with 2 beds when visiting there and was disappointed that these rooms are on the first floor with a "lovely view" of a fence. It was the only disappointment with this hotel. When booking the nicer rooms are poolside

Hotel Ella provides very atmospheric accommodation. Not slick but certainly a pleasure. Our room was small and a little disappointing with a smell of stale airconditioning but the deep verandas and theatrical chandelier hanging in the trees certainly made up for this. We were unlucky to consider with a huge music festival which meat we were paying top dollar.

Was there for 5 nights over the Grand Prix weekend (so more expensive than usual). Definitely one of the more characterful hotels, especially compared to the usual types downtown. Slightly further out for trips downtown, but means can explore around the university. Friendly staff, large rooms.

My husband and I had a very memorable overnight stay at Hotel Ella for a birthday celebration. The hotel was aware that we were there celebrating my husband's birthday and helped to make him feel special with a complimentary upgrade and hand written card. The staff was professional and friendly. The historic mansion property is well-maintained and welcoming with a... More
