We booked the Casulo hotel after being deceived from the pictures and reviews at hotels.com. We arrived there and we lobby had a super strong smell of air freshener, but you could smell something terrible under it. The lady at the front desk was not very friendly but gave us the keys to the room and sent us to the...

I strongly recommend not to stay at this hotel. The pictures on the website are old. This place is really scary. For one they have no staff with uniforms. They have random people cleaning your room. In regular clothes no uniform. So you don't even know that they work there. Second the workout room is horrible. The equipment is so...

Ignore previous negative posts at your own peril. I booked here because a local event had all Austin hotels filled. As noted in recent comments, you will be immediately assaulted by a noxious odor when entering the hotel lobby. An overpowering chemical smell, I speculate staff is using harsh cleaners and air fresheners to mask a mildew/mold problem. The smell...

I strongly recommend you do not stay at this hotel. Let me start with the most obvious and most distressing. What is that smell? It gave me a headache. An overpowering odor strikes you the moment you walk into the lobby of the Casulo. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but it’s a cross between bleach, a hospital,...

They've hired a good photographer but don't trust the online photos! Do not stay here this place is a dump!! I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!! I booked through AMEX (platinum card holder) and thought I was getting a decent hotel for the price ($461 for 3 nights). The other hotels I usually frequent were sold out. I'm in town...

seriously. what's that smell? you can't cover it up with whatever you tried to cover it up with. now it just smells like both, and neither of the smells are pleasant. the front desk service is abysmal. it might look like a chinese restaurant when you first walk in. the art or whatever is in the glass case by the...

Had a wonderful stay here at the Casulo this past trip to Austin. Even though the hotel is going under a facelift at the moment, it did not impact my time there. The staff was great, courteous and always with a smile on their face. Enjoyed the breakfast very much. Muffins, Sausage, Eggs, Oatmeal, Bagels and cereals. Would definately stay...

I had long wanted to stay at the Casulo because I liked the idea of it being independent and its usually listed with fairly upscale sister hotels on say Hotel Tonight.I finally got my chance but have to say it was disappointing.Throughout our 2 day stay there was an unpleasant odor permeating the first floor which made doing anything on...

Loved the hotel! Beds were comfy, shower great, staff friendly and breakfast was good. Located right off I 35 so it was easy to get to. Traffic was terrible in Austin and it was a little ways from where we were going at UT but very cute boutique for a good price.

This was a good value for the money. We didn't really use any facilities. The pool looked nice enough and welcoming with good seating. The rooms were really pretty nice and updated. The bathrooms were awesome! Rainfall shower and nice separate tub.. The shower did need more pressure. The shampoo etc was bath and body works brand. The window from...
