My boyfriend and I and two of our friend couples stayed here for four nights and all of us could not have had a better time and felt more at home and relaxed. The booking was very easy to do with the owners and they answered all my questions before arrival. We arrived at the place and it was all...

It's all started with an idea to go to ACL... We found Casa Kenwood on the Internet and from the get go Christina was nothing but friendly and helpful! Casa kenwood is in a quiet neighborhood close (walking distance to Congress) to all you need, great food, shopping, nightlife). The Property is very unique and FUN! We were greeted by the...

I came in for my 30th birthday and Casa Kenwood was so great! My friends and I loved how unique this place was. It's in the middle of the city but you wouldn't know, with a wooded area backing the property. I will be back for sure! I recommend to anyone looking for something different then a hotel!

I thought this place was going to be amazing and it exceeded my expectaions!!!!! I had my best friends barchlorette party here and it was perfect for the occation. We had four people in Casita Roja, there was plenty of room! Outdoor firepit, huge bathroom, secluded yet in the middle of Austin. I couldn't have made this place better!

The Casita Roja is a wonderfully quirky and serene place to stay. It's not new or luxurious in the usual sense, but it had everything that I and my 16-year-old daughter needed for a fun trip to Austin. I had the bedroom and she took the "futon with a view," and she really enjoyed waking up to the trees, waterfall,...

The Studio Azul at Casa Kenwood Guesthouses is adorably eclectic. I used this studio as the home base for my bridal party and I during my wedding weekend. It was a breeze to book, and the owners are very sweet and easy to work with. The studio comfortably sleeps 4 with king and queen beds, but 6 can squeeze in...

If you want to experience the weird whimsy of Austin, then look no further. I emailed the proprietor the night before I came into town, and she was extremely helpful and got me set up with zero trouble. I stayed in the Roja Casita, and it was perfect. Great colors, big windows, very homey and very Austin. It was a...

I wish I could have stayed longer. The firepit in the back yard was brilliant. Sat under a full moon listening to a waterfall was amazing, and the room was adorable. I can't say enough about the fun decor. I will be back.

I'll start with the positive the location was great, just a 15 minute walk from South Congress and under a $10 cab ride to everywhere else worth seeing. I loved the decor, the ambience and the beautiful grounds surrounding the property. Also, the living space itself was pretty spacious for two. The one big negative was a foul odor emanating...

We really appreciate anytime any one of our guests takes the time to write an online review. We recognize that what they can share of their experience staying with us can be extremely helpful for potential new guests to make a good, informed decision about where to book their lodging. Plus, it helps us to attract those guests who are...

Casita Roja is a fun artsy little treehouse with a view of the woods. The surrounding grounds and walkways are so peaceful you forget that you're a mile or so from South Congress. While staying there we had a couple of friends from Austin meet up with us...they loved the place as well and wondered how we found Casa Kenwood....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Kenwood Guesthouses are one treehouse cabin (Casita Roja) and one cool "artist's" loft (Studio Azul) in the neighborhood of Travis Heights in Austin, Texas. We're not a hotel, not a bed and breakfast, and not a traditional vacation rental... We live on-site and we have two cool guesthouses and a great outdoor property that we are excited to share with travelers to Austin who are longing to discover a hint of that something special that makes Austin "weird." Visit Austin and still feel like you're home, not in a run-of-the-mill vanilla box! We're colorfully laid-back, we're artsy, we're pet friendly. “There are levels in and out, which I love. Could be tricky for the old, drunk or unsteady. :)”
  • This is the view out the window I call
  • Colorful bathroom with pebble work filling up tiny spaces...so many materials and textures.
  • Plenty of room, even with couch/bed open. Small kitchen area is out of view.

“Casita Roja is more private than Studio Azul as it is at the rear of the property and detached from the owner's residence.”
