I make sure I take anyone who visits out to here. The food is okay, not great. A lot of fried food. But they have a micro Brewery and that can be fun. Stuff for kids and a gift shop. Make sure you go out back. There are things to look at and do.

We stay here regularly after eating at the big Texan. The rooms are nice and comfy. But we where sleeping and all of a sudden our phone rung and on the other line someone was making sexual gestures. Called front desk this gentleman had called all rooms. The front desk clerk told me she had no idea what or how...

This was a fun place to stay. I had a good sleep and of course there was plenty of food and drink right next door. It's a great place to stay one night as you come through town, but I would not want more than one night, especially after meeting a guy at the bar who said he was paying...

Stayed here only one night. Cozy western decor with odd twists. Example: the best, thickest, bath towels ever with the thinnest, cheapest washcloths. I could never access wifi while there, despite the clipboard in room giving the code. Large gap at top of the door (not sure if it shows clearly on pics I included), so I could never get...

This is a unique place. We loved the western themed room. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy. We only stayed one night, when passing through, but we would go back. If you are traveling with horses, it has a place with stalls to keep them. Their restaurant is next door, so you can just walk over. You...

We stayed in room 117 and we were bitten by bedbugs. We told them about it but we're not offered a refund. Will not go back! The room smelled musty and mattresses needed to be replaced. Very old and sagged. The big Texan restaurant was good though

Stayed here on part of a tour and loved the authentic experience. Being a kiwi living in the city in Australia i literally had no desire to visit texas. THis was our first stop on our itenitery and it was actually so much fun. We dined for both dinner and breakfast at the famous big texan steak house next door...

My husband and I visited Colorado Springs for our anniversary trip and decided to make a stop for the night in Amarillo. While searching for a place for dinner we ran across the Big Texan and found them to have a quaint little hotel as well. Since we were only passing through, we booked a room and we were pleasantly...

Hi. We didn't notice any bed bugs. There were flies but these are to be expected as it is Texas and it is also a horse ranch. I would expect the two to go hand in hand. There was a fly swot in the room which did the trick on the few that got in. The room were cleaned to a high standard and we had no issues with any smoke or pet smells in the room.

The 'Texan' shaped pool was great fun. It wasn't heated but it didn't need to be when we visited (august 2014). The initial 'brr' on getting in was soon over as it was a hot august day and the kids loved it.

We had a fantastic stay here, it was one of our favourite stops on our Route 66 tour and we would definitely recommend. Happy travels

My recollection is that I saw some dogs around and I know they have stables out back, but I'd certainly check with the motel staff.
