A vintage hotel. Has the old southwest flavor, clean and very friendly. Convenient to Ft Davis an Big Bend. Would Stay There again. We ate one lunch at the Pizza shop across the street good variety menu and friendly staff.

Stayed two nights in June, loved this place. I spent a fair amount of time just walking around looking at all the details: old photographs, paintings, tilework, architectural details, etc., all of which fascinated me. Loved the big main room, very comfortable. Breakfast both mornings was fresh and delicious, all kinds of fruit to go with the granola and yogurt....

Having lived in Alpine in the 70's and 80's, we'd never known the Holland Hotel in today's restored condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, employees we came into contact with, and the overall air of the place, which transported us back to a time and place we'd read about, but not experienced. EXCELLENT choice for travelers interested in a place's...

My wife and I were traveling from Tennessee to Arizona for a job relocation. We wound up in Alpine, Texas. It was one of our best nights ever. Dinner in the courtyard was great. We will be coming back for a longer visit.

The lobby and restaurant and bar are all very nice. Lots of places to sit in the Lobby with historical photos and furniture and a beautiful fireplace. The prime rib special with three courses was delicious and a good wine selection at reasonable prices. The room was small with two queen beds and not much room for your luggage but...

Lovely feel to both town and hotel. Real feeling of history about the hotel, and the staff were just wonderful - really helpful with lots of local recommendations and some great stories about the history of the building. Good restaurant too, and lovely setting for it if you can get a table on the terrace (where there is often live...

We always stay at the Holland when visiting the Big Bend area. The rooms are quaint and very comfortable-bathroom is small, but functional. The lobby is beautiful and the bar makes great cocktails. Have not eaten at the restaurant but will on next visit.

Hello, I am so sorry that you didn't get a great night sleep. We've found that mattress preference is extremely subjective, but have been replacing our mattresses with Serta Concierge line. I would love to know specifically what room you were in to see if that was a newly replaced mattress or if we should add it to our next...

According to the hotel's website, "The Holland Hotel is the real thing – genuine Texas history, plus today’s comfort and style." We found this statement to be absolutely true. The hotel provides moments of Edna Ferber's description of old-Texas interior design. The lobby is well worth a good sit-down with a nice cool drink while people-watching and taking in the...
