This is a lovely small historic hotel with friendly staff and a delicious continental style breakfast which is included in the room price. It is just across the street from the Amtrak station and within easy reach of interesting small shops and galleries.

No complaints, very pleasant stay. Be prepared that there are frequent trains traveling through the city at night with the track across the street from the hotel. They do however provide earplugs for you if the whistle bothers you. Love the amenities in the bath and nice size bath towels. The restaurant and bar are excellent choices for dining and...

Hubby and I had a fabulous weekend getaway at the Holland. The old hotel has been restored nicely. Our room was a Jr Suite at the back of the hotel. Very comfortable king bed and plenty of room to spread out .. the whirlpool tub was so relaxing!! We enjoyed breakfast in the lovely lobby. Saturday night we even enjoyed...

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and all the appliances worked. I did have a small problem with the bathroom sink, which was fixed promptly. Except for the historic plaque though, there was nothing really spectacular about the hotel. Granted it is a historic hotel, which has recently been updated... but...

Hi Patricia, Thank you for your review. We agree that our location in downtown Alpine is great! I'm glad you enjoyed it. While we have recently upgraded windows on the hotel's south side in an effort to reduce train noise, your advice about the rooms on the back side of the hotel is spot-on. Those rooms are definitely more suitable...

The lobby sets the tone as you enter the hotel - what a great old hotel - it oozed character and history! Very comfortable lobby to sit and visit or read. I can only imagine the past visitors. The rooms are comfortable but a bit worn and could use some refreshing. The staff were always friendly and very accomodating. Hotel...

The Holland Hotel epitomizes a vintage Texas experience, with modern conveniences adapted to fit the historic property. We stayed for 4 nights in late March using Alpine as our base for exploring Big Bend, Ft. Davis, and Marfa. We enjoyed such genuine hospitality and scenery we are already planning a return trip. Hopefully we can enjoy the outdoor patio next...

My husband and I spent Monday and Tuesday nights at the Holland Hotel the last week of March 2017 on a trip to BBNP. We always try to stay in old historic hotels and this hotel definitely met the mark. We took lots of pictures of historic photos through the hotel and the lobby. The Century Bar and Grill in...

Hey, we're so glad you enjoyed your stay with us! Sounds like you were able to enjoy lots of great spots around town in your short stay, including our hotel. We know the train can be loud, and are in the process of requesting a silent crossing. Fingers crossed it happens soon. Hope to see you again on a future...

We stayed at the Holland House for one night and fell in love with the place upon arrival. Room was small but comfortable, clean and offered all the amenities. We stayed here one night during a 10 day trip to South Texas. The hotel is quaint, the rooms are small, but clean. The staff is great. The restaurant serves good food, drink and wine. A Winner of A Place!
