Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I spent only one night at this motel recently, but probably that’s the case for a lot of the guests. I wanted to give it a good review for being a enjoyable, clean, quiet, well-run motel. I was on the ground floor, which always makes me nervous concerning hearing noise, but I found my room to be very quiet the entire time. The owner was friendly and helpful, and when I couldn’t get the wifi going he immediately assisted me and rebooted the motel’s wifi, which solved the problem. The room was clean, and a tiny bit pleasantly old-fashioned, still giving you bathing caps (which I use!) and using real china mugs in the room, which allowed me to make a real cup of tea. Bed mattresses were good. The location of the motel may be a bit farther from downtown than some others, but on the positive side it was secluded enough to be away from the traffic, which I liked. The only negative point I saw about the hotel was that they had not only filled in their swimming pool, which is already a loss, but the way it had been left was as an unattractive filled-in swimming pool. That’s always a bit depressing! But basically a very good motel for the price.

Was looking for a reasonably priced hotel that allowed pets. Found Antilley Inn online but made reservation by calling hotel directly to get exact pricing. Arrived late afternoon, office lady was very nice and efficient. She had my reservation ready and check in was quick. Room was clean, king bed was very comfortable for an older hotel. Room had, microwave, small refrigerator, flat screen tv, in room coffee pot and free wifi. I was in room #109 and there was a large green space area just a few doors down where dogs could run, play, and take care of business. There is also an outdoor pool, but it was covered and no chairs or tables, so I assume in was not in working order. Antilley Inn is located near what I was told was the "hospital district" and there were several restaurants, and service station convenience stores nearby. To check out, just leave key in room and go. Access to I20 via Loop 320 was very easy. My expectations weren't high, and the overall stay exceed them. I would gladly stay here again if in the area with or without pets.

First the bed is actually very comfortable. Wheelchair accessible and accomodating. Bathtub instead of roll-in shower But with grab bars it was no problem. A/C noisy but works great!!!I even like real coffee mugs not plastic or paper. And staff friendly and quick to respond to requests. Nice area to take out dog .If we pass through Abilene again we will definitely stay here.

The best thing is dog friendly. This is an older property that has not seen an update. Clean enough just tired. On south side of abilene. Fridge in rooms and microwave. Everything did work. Lots of channels on tv.

This motel is a great location! Older motel, but clean and the staff is very nice and helpful. Made a reservation days in advance and check in time was minimal. They even had REAL coffee cups and glasses in the room itself. When we needed more towels or anything, it was not a problem. We will stay here again. The location is right off the freeway and near a nice area of Abilene. Thank you Antilley Inn for your hospitality.

Though an older motel the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. There were a number of TV channels to entertain most anyone and the a/c worked well. The staff (owners?) were very nice. The breakfast was basic: milk, sweet cereal, oatmeal, banana and white bread. No protein. Definitely a good option for an inexpensive night, just go out for breakfast in the morning. You saved enough on the room... Note there is an outdoor pool however in early September it was closed/under construction.

Do not stay here. Walked into the room to find giant cockroaches or some other type of giant cricket living in the room. Tried to ignore it until I found more in the bathroom. If that's not enough the fact that the pool was closed for what looks like at least the whole summer was also a let down. Not trying to ruin his business but clean it up.

Wow. I have never stayed in a hotel recommended by a travel website that was so crappy. First room was way too hot. Now, Texas gets hot, and the room was probably 85 or 90 when I walked in. The upholstered chair and ottoman were very stained. I asked for another room. AC worked better. TV had NO sound. Bug in bathtub. Really? I should have spent the extra money for more suitable accommodations.

I made a reservation through Expedia for a king size bed/non-smoking room at Antilley Inn. Upon arriving at this location, nothing on the outside screamed turn your car around and get out while you can. This location has pretty nice curb appeal, except the parking lot is badly cracked and falling apart and is close to a really good hospital. So, I parked, picked up my room key from the office and drove to find my room. Even through I was running late for a prior engagement I made time to check this room out since I've been having some really bad luck with some other Abilene hotels and motels. The only thing I noticed was that the room had two beds in it except the king sized bed I had reserved. I thought to go ahead to my meeting and speak to the clerk when I get back, I' m sure this was an honest mistake. Somewhere between 9 and 9:30 P.M. I return to the motel and advise the clerk that that was not the room I reserved and continued to explain that I was not interested in double beds. The clerk tells me that the air conditioning on the second floor where all the king size beds are was out of order and that' s why I was put in this room. He told me that it would takes very long time to get it cool. At no time when I checked in or now at 9 did the clerk now I learn he is the owner/operator at this location never offered me a refund so that I might find a king size bed somewhere else in Abilene. It gets worst. So now I' m stuck with this room that I don't want since it's one of those Expedia deals (no cancellation or refunds) and find a swatch of blood on the bathroom door. Did I mention the air conditioner in our room isn't working right either. I call the clerk, about the blood and the owner comes to the room and cleans the blood off with his thumb. He swears it' s not blood but jam and that he and his wife clean the rooms. Personally, I think blood would not be left on the bathroom door of a clean room, jam either. The coffee pot and other appliances are dusty. The toilet doesn't flush right. Yeah. Before I forget. The air conditioner is set to 60 and several hours pass and the room still feels stuffy and like it' s in the upper 70's. It's almost midnight and I finally get through to Expedia. And after several minutes on the phone with him I' m told that there is absolutely nothing that he can do for me. He' s also called the owner and tells me that he wants to put me in the hot room or I could get my money back without a penalty to get another room elsewhere. I told the man on the phone I'll stay, after all it is after midnight and my spouse is diabetic. I don't know about any of the other rooms but the room I had had termites outside the room door I killed one that had gotten inside but probably the worst part of all was that the room has a terrible problem with bed bugs. I woke up with several bites and two huge red blotches on my body and took picture to prove it. I believe this bad situation could have been handled better, I would have liked to have been told at check in that the king size room was not available and right then been offered a refund to relocate. The room mix up was no mistake. The only mistake was that I booked a room there through Expedia. Never again Expedia. Never again. Buyer beware and stay here if you dare.

Stayed here one night on a budget, & was nicely surprised! The property is a bit older, but well-kept. The rooms were a good size & a big comfy bed. Not a lot in walking distance, but the lake across the way was very pretty. :) would stay here again
