Stayed here one night during a vacation road trip across Texas. We arrived after 5:00 pm but our rooms were not ready. The front desk person was extremely helpful and was able to find us one room while the other was made ready. Candlewood Suites with their full kitchens are very convenient during this pandemic. We wanted to avoid restaurants and this helped us do that. This location needs some updating as the rooms seemed a bit rough around the edges. They were acceptable but I've had better luck at other Candlewood Suite locations.

A dated property but based on very reasonable prices and excellent staff, I rated it 4 out of 5.
The rooms are good sized and well equipped.
I would stay here again as long as prices remain so reasonable.
The area the hotel is located in is not the best so I would recommend some caution.

Nice stay but it is a little inconvenient from I20. We have came to be a big fan of Candlewood. They are normally neat, clean and comfy and we were not disappointed with this one. Friendly staff but the day clerk was away from the front desk for what was to me a “too long” period of time. Pet friendly and coffee available as needed in lobby.

Not a good experience. Stayed for a few weeks and the quality of this Candlewood is well below others I've stayed at. Booked a king room and was put in a room with 2 queens. Room had several discrepancies: remote out of battery, carpet and wall trim frayed/ripped, pans were stained and charred. The grill out by the pool was out of propane, when asked about it the front desk guy shrugged and said "it's cold out." Front desk staff seemed unable or reluctant to help when any requests were made.

I got all over the country setting up new stores and my company puts me in hotels of their choice. This hotel may have a mow rating, but I believe it is not an accurate rating by my experience. Maybe because o have seen what I would truest call a 3 star hotel. If you are not the type to only see negatives and see positives the. You will totally enjoy your stay as I did. Here is my experience and thoughts.
Yes there is a lot of negative reviews on this hotel. Is it a five star hotel, absolutely not! However, it is very clean, yet aged. I have been here for 4 1/2 weeks and the staff is absolutely over the top awesome! They are what make this hotel a five star rating!
I have been moved into three rooms due to many different issues, but they were quick to move me into a new room and also give me upgrades to make up for it. I’ve spoken to other that went into my previous rooms and the issues have been fixed already. Also the room service is very good!
Coming into this hotel, you just have to understand it is an age hotel in the process of being upgraded. A lot of people say breakfast is not available, that is not true. We have been able to have breakfast at the hotel next-door because it is owned by the same owner
With the breakfast and a crew and the full size refrigerator and soft top in the rooms, it makes it worthwhile in my opinion. I have been in three rooms, and have seen no signs of bugs or uncleanliness.

This place is in dire need of an update. It’s pretty much a dump. Front desk staff was very nice and kept this place from getting a one star rating. I used to stay at Candlewood Suites in the past because they had kitchens where you could cook but probably due to covid there was nothing in there kitchen. The coffee maker only came with decaf but the front desk said they had free coffee in the lobby. No point staying here if you can’t use the kitchen!

I called several hotels to accommodate my mom. She has a very bad back and cannot sleep in a bed. I saw on Trip Advisor that Candlewood Suites may have recliners in their guest rooms. I called the hotel in Abilene and talked to Shelby! She went out of her way to find us a room with a recliner and other accommodations for my mom. She is so professional and caring! Our room even had a little kitchen with a microwave, full refrigerator and a stove top. If your looking for a clean hotel with amazing staff and at a great price then I highly recommend this hotel.

Room is large with plenty of space. Large TV, couch, fridge, microwave and desk space for work I had to do during my stay. Hotel is not aging very nicely. Upkeep in my room left a lot to be desired. The carpet was absolutely disgusting (literally wore shoes the entire time I was in my room). Lunens were clean. Towels were new and fluffy. There were repairs made inside the hotel room that covered up issues not repair them. Mold in bathroom.

I stayed here for business on my swing through west Texas. The room was clean and well appointed. The front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. I like having the full size refrigerator in the room which was a plus for me. The fitness room was spacious and everything worked.

No free breakfast.....they do have food for sale or you do have A Walmart right next door and you can make the food in room.
Candlewood Suites is pet friendly. The hotel charges $25.00 the first night and $10.00 for each night thereafter with a maximum of $150.00 per stay.
