Deb, the manager, was awesome, juggling 2 family reunions with people of all ages from all over the U.S. There were also some fishermen and bikers on their way to Sturgis. No yogurt and one fruit option each day on the breakfast buffet, but there is a store next door. Rooms were fine and the locals were friendly. Very close...

The breakfast was rather limited. It was more like a continental breakfast. There was not a lot of variety. Nice small town atmosphere. Pleasant staff and owners. The room was very clean and inviting.

We were in town to visit the Ingalls homestead and attend the pageant in De Smet. Super nice staff, clean hotel and rooms, very quiet. Loved that they are pet friendly and had just a flat fee for the dog instead of hitting us with a charge every night of our visit.

I would recommend this place to anyone. For a small town, the staff was super friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. We went to Brookings to visit our son over Hobo Days and all the hotels were full. Lucky for us because this was a super place.

So thankful to have Arlington Inn available to us each time we visit. Deb is wonderful, my daughter always steals the hot chocolate and Deb just laughs! The rooms are great, new bedding is really nice, no old itchy scratchy spreads, they are nice and white in color. Staying here in the fall all the hunters come with their dogs,...

Amazing staff!! The rooms are nice and the location is great because there is a very good restaurant right next door and a nice grass field to walk the dog or let children run around. Thank you LaDonna, Eric and the rest of the staff for making a difficult time a little easier by accommodating us so well. Next time...

We too go out to Arlington every year for hunting. We could easily stay with numerous relatives in the area but we absolutely LOVE Deb and her staff. We always feel Like we are at "home" there and Deb will bend over backwards to make sure everyone is accomodated for. I also agree with the others, 1481 is the best...

On the way to De Smet, we thought Brookings would be the best place to crash, but hotel prices were questionably high, so we continued on, and fell into this little gem in the town of Arlington. It is clean in and out, with a breakfast and a friendly manager. It also opens from the inside, and is pretty quiet...

“They had a large room with two queens and a sofa bed and they brought in a couple of long tables and chairs so we could play cards in our room. If you had a large group this room would be nice to have.”
