My wife and I spent a very pleasant weekend at Hartzell House recently, while visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright homes at Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob. The inn-keepers were friendly, gracious, and knowledgeable about the area. We had arrived quite late on Friday evening and the...More
A truly lovely, thoughtfully appointed and diligently run B&B in an historic location, convenient to recreation and leisure in all directions. Great breakfasts and service. One of the best B&B's we've ever had the pleasure to visit.
If you are planning a trip to Fallingwater, this is where you want to stay. Think of anything you want in a bed & breakfast...they will exceed your expectations. Lovely in so many respects. Our first stay was eight years ago, and our second 3...More

Hi! Sorry this has taken me so long, I wasn't aware I had a Q&A section! We are about 6 miles from the Hogback Road trailhead in Confluence, and we never recommend that anyone try to ride to the B&B. The road is, in our opinion, too dangerous to make the trek over to Addison. We can, however, recommend Hanna House B&B, right across the bridge from the trailhead at Hogback, or The Smith House Inn, in Confluence. Both are wonderful accommodations, and Frances, at Hanna House, is a gem! Wishing you safe travels! ~ Kitty
